Corky Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 I've not been overly impressed with Clemence, because he came with Birmingham's Player of the Year title and we expected big things. He has played well in some matches, but I think the poorer ones outnumber the good. Still I believe he may have something to offer and we should keep him for next year.
bigneville Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 The most important thing for me is we keep the core of the squad together, and for me Clemence is part of the core of the squad. He hasn't overly delivered this season, but there has been glimpses of quality at times. Given a settled squad and a some consistency at the club, Clemence could go on to be a quality player for us next season. I would happily see him stay next season. I'd hate for him to be sold just to bring in another player who could be great. For me stick with the core, and make gradual improvements in the squad. Choping and changing key areas of the team will not bring us long term success.
