Is that littlekickers club the 1 in Oadby ? My mate is gonna start taking his 3 year old there but didnt mention a waiting list. When he gets to 6 get him in at Aylestone park , what they do for kids that age is excellent , Beaumont Town is the other id recommend but again not until 6
Fat Ron Posted 1 May 2008 Author Posted 1 May 2008 Cheers Sparky, I'll try Little Kickers for now then
DB11 Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Beaumont Town is the other id recommend but again not until 6 You being serious?
Father Ted Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 You being serious? They have had some very good youth players but the attitudes and the respect they teach them is not good.
Sparky Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 You being serious? Yes , Why did u ref them and 1 of them say something a little naughty to you. The club is a well ran club , they may well have 1 or 2 age groups whos disapline let them down but that applies to most the bigger clubs. i used to run their 17s and 18s few years ago . They have big plans for the future and i would have no problem sending my kids their. Thier chairman is a cracking bloke and is always trying to improve the club. I may well go back and manage there again once i finish playing
Toby or not Toby Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Aylestone Park, Mountsorrel or Rothley id recommend for the youngsters to get started
DB11 Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 but the attitudes and the respect they teach them is not good. That's what I was referring to Yes , Why did u ref them No. And I never intend to if I can help it.
Fat Ron Posted 2 May 2008 Author Posted 2 May 2008 Quorn or Barrow. Do they have soccer schools for kids as young as 3/4 then? That would be perfect!!
Sparky Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 That's what I was referring toNo. And I never intend to if I can help it. , u will go a long way as a ref
hibeeleicester Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Do they have soccer schools for kids as young as 3/4 then? That would be perfect!! They do indeed , saturday mornings about 9.30... FA coach comes every second weekend for them aswell !!
DB11 Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 , u will go a long way as a ref I don't want to go a long way. I do it for a hobby and to earn a bit of money. I want to get as much enjoyment out of it as I can.

General Smuts Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Its a shame that Ratby & Groby is no more. We were quality back in the Louis Dodds, Emile Heskey, Sam McMahon days. I started at about 4 with Ratby and went right through till 14 when i moved to New Parks & Allexton for a couple of years and finished at Western Olympic.

You with the hair?
christoff542 Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Sort of off topic but anyone seen the new facilities Harborough Town FC are getting? SUPPOSED to be really good with all weather pitches, new clubhouse etc but to be honest I know I play for them (U-15's) but I can't see any of it happening
