Kilworthfox Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Whilst bored & on my own I got out the football and ried to learn a new trick I have been practising that Ronaldinho one where you have the ball next to your standing foot and with your other leg hit the football with the ball of your foot making the ball pop up and then playing it where ever. It's not really that difficult you just have to practise it, took me about 20 minutes. I can't do the kick but am working on it Ronaldino@1:35 Also the Ronaldo one where again you play the ball off of your standing foot re directing it the opposite way you have played it towards your standing foot. This is even easier than the one above took a couple of minutes to figure out how to play it against your ankle. Ronaldo@ 0:49 Ronaldinho skilz slowed down I think they look really great and is something which sets football away from games like rugby as although it's a team game you do have the chance to see alot of individual flair. Most are actually quite easy to do when you think about them as they are just simple movements, it is putting them together that is harder Anyway I just wondered what you boys n girls have been doing so I could see others to do.
Joe. Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 This is the dog's when it (rarely) comes off. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zklt914QNYE It'll never be done in the same way as this though. Absolute genius.

Joe. Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Erm I am not sur how to do that 1 on my own Class though Well the way it can be tried isn't quite the same as Bergkamp's, its' a bit easier. Like Durnerz says it's all about the delivery to your feet. If it comes to you on your right foot you try and backspin it around the back of the player you have your back to then run round the opposite direction.
Kilworthfox Posted 1 May 2008 Author Posted 1 May 2008 They're not that difficult tricks really... yeah the 2 i said in post 1 are not that hard, seriously have a go, 1st one play the ball off of your standing leg and go up towards your nads, 2nd one play the ball off of your standing lag and make it go in the opposite direction Well the way it can be tried isn't quite the same as Bergkamp's, its' a bit easier. Joe. Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 how am I going to get delivery to my feet when I am on my own? The wall? But it wasn't really intended as a one person on their own trick as you've rightly picked out...
Kilworthfox Posted 1 May 2008 Author Posted 1 May 2008 The wall? But it wasn't really intended as a one person on their own trick as you've rightly picked out... Sorry dude
WetFlannel Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 yeah the 2 i said in post 1 are not that hard, seriously have a go, 1st one play the ball off of your standing leg and go up towards your nads, 2nd one play the ball off of your standing lag and make it go in the opposite direction I can do them... I used to do that sort of stuff quite a bit, but don't really do it as much anymore. Alot of people say its useless, but in matches it makes your touch so much better.

I do think the moves are simple when done on their own, but when you put them together it looks great. Just look at how much effort the great, great players put into doing them. simple little moves but when they put them together it is obviously proper skill.

All about progression, especially when half the time you feel like giving up because you spend so long trying the same thing. Sometimes it gets so frustrating but I stuck with it for quite a while. I'd say Jeremy Lynch is the best around at the moment.
Simi Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Skills are for losers. I'd much rather play a defence splitting pass thanks. Or make a crunching tackle.

Kilworthfox Posted 1 May 2008 Author Posted 1 May 2008 Skills are for losers.I'd much rather play a face splitting pass thanks. Or make a crunching tackle on an opponents leg . This is CHED
