Raj Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Hello all LCFC fans, would just like to wish you all the best of luck in League 1 next season and hope you make a quick return back to where you should be (not in League 1).Before the games on Sunday i was thinking to myself: "god i'd laugh if Leicester went down", but after it was confirmed that you were going down, after I saw the tears of all your loyal supporters when the final whistle blew and after we put in a disgraceful performance oursleves (a performance that should have got us relegated) against a team who had ****all to play for, it became obvious that i was filled with a deep sense of sympathy for your football club and to a larger extent your fans who have put up with the same kind of rubbish football as we have during the season. I will speak for myself here but, as a Coventry fan, when i feast my eyes on the fixtures for the upcoming season the first thing i look for is when we will be playing Leicester and always make sure i'm free on that weekend. This year i won't have that same excitement about the fixture list just purely because you guys won't be there. Wish Wednesday had gone instead! Good luck next season, would love another M69 derby in the near future. Peace out! I feel the rivalry, and I hate it when we lose to Hull because people have it over me... but that's why I follow football. It's boring to have no rivalries and that's why I don't understand why Forest fans would deliberately spurn a rivalry with Leicester, because it gives games more heat. Surely they should be annoyed to see us down, to lose their chance to prove themselves better than us if they win? It's what makes football worthwhile, like this chap has said. Forest fans always go on about not caring about the rivalry with Leicester but its a load of crap if they say there not bothered enough times even they will believe it arragant tossers the lot of them. well most of them. Hull have done well, the only difference with us and hull is there players give 100 % always and ours dont.

But at the end of the day i wish we still had the m69 derby next year. i used to work with a lot of leicester fans in lutterworth before i moved away and the banter every weekend used to be a right laugh even more so with a derby weekend. hopefully those games will return very soon but in the prem. good luck and best wishes for next season

It seems so long ago since that game. I would just like to wish you good luck next season, League 1 is a league I would not wish on any big club as it is truly dire downt here and hope you get out of there ASAP so we can give you a good spanking in the Championship (or preferably the prem) As a Forest fan I know what it feels to be relegated into League 1, it was the most gut wrenching day of my life and hope I never have to go through again but I assure you that when you get out of that league (which I am sure you will) it will feel as if the whole world has been lifted off your shoulders. I am sure you will bounce straight back and not have to spend 3 long years down there like we did. Good luck next season! As much as Forest fans try to deny it you are a big rival to us and hope we get to play you sooner rather than later.
FilboFox Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 I have a Coventry fan friend who is just like you... was on MSN with him after the game and he was basically saying he'd buy me a drink or 10 the next time we meet cause he was really sorry that we had gone down and unsurprisingly, he too thought that Sheffield Wednesday should have gone... 'Tis a shame we've gone but I've suddenly become really excited about the next season as we might actually really win some games!!! On the trot maybe! :w00t:
