dynamite foxes Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 If we had won one nil I am sure you would have all been 'De Vries was fantastic' and got carried away. but they scored and the performance was 'rubbish,' which it wasn't we played well last night. we were very unlucky and wouldnhave been worthy winners. How many chances did they have? not many. There are very few level headed people on this board. Anish's comments today have been unbelievable.

Craig Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 I thought we was ok, nothing special, but not as bad as anish and co. seem to think

I know full well we were average last night, we played well in some spells but poorly in others and totally lost it in the final 10 mins. I came away from the Millwall game dissapointed because I felt that the 3-1 scoreline flattered us.
Scow Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 A victory wouldn't have disguised how poor de Vries was. He failed to hold up the ball on a number of occasions and was easily marshalled by Lescott, who is a quality defender to be fair. As Chimp said, we played well in ptahces, particularly when Hughes, Williams and Connolly linked up. We genuinely have 3 players of quality and intelligence in the team who can make things happen, however, de Vries wasted that good work. I would like to see Moore partnering Connolly - They both started at Watford, but the service was poor. At least Moore would provide that pace and cause the opposition a problem. It would also push back the oppositon as they would be fearful of the pace.

Benji Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 if we would have won 1-0 then there would be no last 10 minutes to complain about saying that, if my auntie had a dick she'd be my uncle but neither are true, draws a draw, no if's or buts they bottled it after a good 80 minute performance, surely the most optimistic of you should realise that
Guest Posted 6 April 2005 Posted 6 April 2005 If we win at Brighton, 7 out of 9 points in a difficult week wouldn't be a bad return.
