Halfsy Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 Apart from his bizarre goal his was a largely forgettable performance. I just cannot imagine why Pearson and his pals would have drafted him into the side. For a striker to be interesting he needs to have some special attributes, quick eye for goal, natural shooting ability, pace, height, an instinct to be in the right place at the right time and so many other things. And if I'm generous he was in the right place at the right time to steal his rebound goal out of nowhere. But what else was there to earmark him as a notable striker? Sappleton has a blistering shot and immense strength, Campbell great pace and elusiveness, Howard is 6ft 3ins and guarantees goals however bad he looks, Fryatt is clever on the ball, Ashley Chambers lightning quick, able to go past players and swift to spot a goal chance. I didn't see anything special about Milo. He just looked like any other striker that plies the non-League scene. A few decent runs across and around defenders but nothing that made you think he had special potential. Elusiveness? What kind of attribute is that for a professional striker? Unless of course you mean he was elusive to my memory, in that i cannot remember one productive thing he has done for the football club for £2.1million. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the first previously conjoined twin professional footballer would come to us. No matter how bad he is . .
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 The reason there's no wikipedia ect info is because Malenovic has played in Japan for two and half years, and their stats are not recorded. However Info gained on Japeye.com shows that he scored 73 goals in 149 appearances. Interestingly he was seperated at birth from his brother and is the first previously conjoined twin to play professional football, and his mother, Sophia, was principal dancer with the Bolshoi ballet. Hope this is of assistance. So what happened to the other twin? Might as well give him a trial as well hadn't we?
Moreton Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 So what happened to the other twin? Might as well give him a trial as well hadn't we? Might even make a good strike partnership the two of them, being twins an all..if he's also a forward.

Should have got the other one by the sound of it! And also I doubt he will be lucky enough to stay really, 1 goal in 6 apps (the one goal being a fluke) he should be packing his bags.

The lad played 45 minutes, he did not play in any other friendly so you can hardly say that.
