His problem was that Margarito has such an incredible chin. Cotto is a big puncher and landed a lot of blows to the head but he just couldn't hurt Margarito and tired himself out too quickly. Marg just took him apart after that and Cotto looked well messed up by the end. I think a rematch would be interesting if Cotto approached the fight differently and tries to go forward and look for an early knockout rather than try and outbox him like he did Sat. night. Cotto did enough so that a potential rematch is still a money fight. It will be interesting to see who the two go next because there is no way that De Le Hoya is going anywhere near Margarito and Cotto vs. Mayweather looks unlikely to happen now either. Besides Mayweather would have destroyed Cotto on last nights evidence and Cotto looked tailormade for PBF.

Jack Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Brilliant fight, Cotto dominated the early rounds. Margarito looked like he had him in the 7th but Cotto managed to pull through to be eventually beat in the 11th.
