Ultra Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 He was fat and overweight because of Allen, did you not see how unfit our side was against Blackpool this time last year because of that idiot! But the point was he was still our best striker last pre-season and should of been given the nod against Blackpool. Thankfully Pearson does have a clue and think will reward people in form. We actually look like we will have a good competitive squad this year that will fight for places and think there will be a few changes for the cup game against Stockport giving the players who missed out a chance, we will see. Fryatt had weight issues a long time before Allen arrived, and indeed after Allen left. Did you not see how poor he was last season, worse even than Nathan Blake on Mogadon? He may have blagged a starting place for Saturday, but I hope that if he gives another dire display, Pearson will tell him where to go.
act smiley Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 worse even than Nathan Blake on Mogadon? Science has proved this impossible if Junior Lewis is not involved.
Sods Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Ive got a feeling our strikers will be on fire this season.
Corky Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Ive got a feeling our strikers will be on fire this season. We've got to try and stop those arsonists getting into the ground Seriously though, I agree.
maddog Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 That's the general consensus for everyone.Dickov and Campbell will probably start against Stockport in the cup. Although, it's well known that Dickov is better playing with a target man. With an awful target man in Howard, who last season was miles worse than De Vries ever was, Dickov may struggle because Howard never heads the ball to our player. How's about a 4-3-3 with Campbell, Fryatt and Dickov up front, that would be formidable in this division.
