Ozwin Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Got my results for A2 on Thursday and they were alright. I had decided prior to these that I was going to take a year off and see what happens. If I find a job then good, but if not then Uni it is next year. But I don't really know where to start, I dont want to work in a shop or supermarket if I can help it but I dont know what sort of places to look out for besides those as I don't know what half the jobs in the merc entail. Administrative work sounds important and everything seems to be administrative in there. Anyone in need of a personal assistant or anything >_> ?

Benji Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 I'd definately advise doing something with a gap year A lot of post-university job interviews will entail a grilling on how you spent your year and how productive you were Sitting on the couch playing xbox being funded by a weekend job will not go down well. Eve if you don't get a job, do some travelling, volunteer work, international camps or what not.

Unfourtanetly it is were u will have to start, Its hell getting a full time non apprentiship non labour job with no experience. So you are going to have to work hard at finding one or it wont happen

Unfortunately your just going to have to get on with it, I've managed to get extended hours on my current job as a adminstrative support assistant but its only on a year contract, which is up mid october. Really want to get away from here though, fresh start and that.

Made redundant though werent I so... Subway would be better for you anyways Tom. If things go well you could even make Manager by your 30th birthday.
