JoeyB Posted 17 September 2008 Posted 17 September 2008 Foxes Net Deal With ASDAPosted on: Wed 17 Sep 2008 Leicester City have strengthened their community links by teaming up with ASDA. The Foxes have struck up a deal with the UK's second largest supermarket chain to sell club merchandise initially in their popular Fosse Park Supercentre on Narborough Road South. The deal could then see City branch out their retail stock to other local stores including Oadby, Thurmaston, Hinckley and Corby. City Director Malcolm Stewart-Smith (pictured), Head of Sales & Marketing Keith Loring and Filbert Fox helped officially unveil the new City Merchandise point of sale at Fosse Park along with Store Manager Tony Brennan. "We want to make our merchandise as readily available as possible to our fan base and allow our supporters to get their hands on all things Leicester City whenever they feel the need," said Chairman Milan Mandaric. "This relationship with ASDA will benefit both parties." Store Manager Tony Brennan, also pictured, added: "Leicester City are our local team and we are their local business and we are delighted to be leading the way." http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1394685,00.html , will it be a good move or not?
Tilley Posted 17 September 2008 Posted 17 September 2008 I think so. They used to sell the merchandise in in the Co-Op, but that has seemed to stop. I rememember, when I was younger, the lovely little City shop in town

Turnstile was on Churchgate just around the corner from the bus station. It was independent of LCFC who eventually bought it out and then closed it. - Vålerenga used to work there.
