C-man Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 If they do go up and have a points deduction, that would almost relegate them instantly.
Newcastle_Fox Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 If they do go up and have a points deduction, that would almost relegate them instantly. 91830 A nice thought!
SilverFox Posted 12 April 2005 Posted 12 April 2005 If they do go up and have a points deduction, that would almost relegate them instantly. 91830 If they go up, I think it would probably save them. The cash injection would halve their debt, which I think they need desperately! The disaster for Derby would be if they DIDN'T get promoted. Promotion saved our bacon...no two ways about that!
Nationwider Posted 14 April 2005 Posted 14 April 2005 Interesting stuff. It has a whiff of "promotion or bust" about it. Literally. Championship sides allegedly involved in dodgy loans from a convicted fraudster (and not just any fraudster!). The best article on it, as linked from the FT site is here. We'll have to watch with interest, especially if Derby don't get promotion this year. I wouldn't wish that any club went out of business, even our rivals. No smoke without fire, though.

Family discounts slashed. QPR Trust's view is "There are some of the most loyal, commited supporters, who have been fans all their lives and season ticket holders for many years, who are tonight seriously questioning whether they : a- can pay it? b- should pay it? There is no doubt that many of them will not be able to renew." So who is exactly footing the bill again, yes the fans

How have we got to state in which the FA, the PFA, the Footbal League and the fans have no control over the game whatsoever?
