Fosse Boy Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I'm off to see them in Birmingham on Thursday. Anyone else seeing them/seen them on their current tour? The last couple of times I've seen them they've been playing mostly Puzzle stuff, so I'm hoping they go back to playing a bit more off their older albums this time round.
Joe. Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 One of the highlights of Leeds Festival for me, would love to go and see them again.
syston_fox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Saw them at Leics Uni back in Feb and was one of the best gigs that I've been too - they're live accoustic version of Machines was out of this world.
Samilktray Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Decided to give them a listen, so just checked out 'Machines' and 'Mountains' on youtube. Rather unexciting.
syston_fox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Decided to give them a listen, so just checked out 'Machines' and 'Mountains' on youtube.Rather unexciting. Each to their own. I used to think the same when I first heard them and didn't really know any of their music when I saw them live. To be honest though, that simply enhanced the experience and made me appreciate the music even more.

Joe. Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Try Justboy, 57 and Saturday Superhouse Make sure your volume is turned right up to listen to the intro of this song.
syston_fox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Make sure your volume is turned right up to listen to the intro of this song. Officially the worst introduction to have as your alarm on your phone - confuses the hell out of you when you've just woken up with the stop start-edness of it all. And for future reference, I think that I've just created the greatest new word of 2008 just there.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 December 2008 Author Posted 19 December 2008 Well, just got back and they were pretty awesome. Much better than when I saw them at Leeds earlier this year. Their set was still quite Puzzle heavy but they played quite a few surprises from their earlier albums. They brought out the string quartet for a few numbers and closed with 'Now the Action is on Fire' which was a real shock, but a pleasant one nonetheless. Mon the Biffy!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 December 2008 Posted 19 December 2008 Mountains is getting a bit of a play over her and i must say i like it
