Good choices here, like you I vaguely remember Davie Gibson and yes he was a good player. Surprised no one has mentioned John Sjoberg, he also was a good player. Sure many people would also plump for the class partnership of Heskey and Collymore after that great game against (Southampton?).

Father Ted Posted 24 December 2008 Posted 24 December 2008 He was a great manager. In the same way that Pearson has a lot of the same team from last year, Little had much of the team that almost got us relegated the year before. With a few classy additions - Platenauer, Fitzpatrick, Colin Gordonanyway, best X1 Hooper Charles Fenwick Madden Lewis Oswold Jarrett Yeates Cunningham D'Avray Lawrence on loan and unleashed (except I couldn't come up with an extra shit striker or left back so put in a couple of crims) seriously, from players I have seen in the past 25 years Flowers Mills Osman Walsh Kamaark Lynex McAllister Lennon Wright Lineker Collymore D'Avray???? Who's he?

Sjoberg was a class centre half but chose Elliott because of his greater scoring ability, but it was close.

Narborough Bod Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 D'Avray???? Who's he? Mich D'Avray, on loan from Ipswich and was absolutely dire. I think he may even have been sent home early from his loan spell because he was that bad. Played 3 games, 3-4, 0-2 then 0-5.
Ultra Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 I thought his loan spell may have been ended by an injury. But he didn't impress in the one home game that he had.
