After several emails and phone calls of complaint to Tim Davies, I have been invited down to the ground next tuesday to talk to Tim Davies about the treatment of Leicester City fans sitting in L1.

If anyone has any sensible ideas on how the situation can be resolved between the fans and the stewards/police so that we are free to create an atmosphere worthy of the walkers stadium put your suggestions here and i will pass them all on.

Tim is commited to helping the fans and is genuine in his approach to sort the situation out.

The treatment some of the fans have been getting in L1 over the last few weeks is very petty.

I know of someone who was thrown out by the police for making a tommy tanker sign to the away fans, he was subsequently banned for 3 matches. This is part of football, and if you are going to throw one fan out then shouldn't all fans making this gesture be removed?

Last night was a perfect example, all the Cardiff Fans were allowed to stand up, even in the aisles next to the stewards, if this was in any other stand the fans at the front would have been asked to sit down and if they persisted they would have been thrown out.

There seems to be no consistency in the stewarding at all.

One week CL is on the website praising the fans for their support the next week the fans in L1 are being asked to treat it like a library.

I noticed last night that there was a line of police in the aisles (of L1) not long after the second half started. Surely this will antagonise people more, particularly those who would like to watch the game. I know I am sitting in this block right next to the away fans against Leeds, and if a steward or policeman stands in the way of my view I have paid for then, at the risk of being thrown out, I will strongly complain to them!

I couldnt aggree more, my mate was ejected after the forest game for doing a single W4nker sign as he was sick of getting grief from the forest fans. Everyone in L1 needs to stand if we all do this then who do the stewards/police going to single out to eject? It only fails when the people who are standing get fragmented.

the cardiff city fans stood throughout the match and so did L1 but the L1ers were asked and made to sit down by the stewards/police. the cardiff fans had no stewards or police making them sit down.

Before the game what you need is police in the away end just like they do in L1. The L1ers get really pissed off because they cant stand but others can.

Triggering the song "were not allowed to sing were not alowed to sing"

All i would like is a chance to stand up at the games near the away fans to create a good atmosphere.

Thanks a lot L1boy

So often the case with us and the Awayers, they can attempt to climb the sheet seperating us from them, stand on the stairs gesturing for a good 10-15mins pre-half time, yet one of us responds and we get thrown out! Wheres the justice? Footballs just not what it used to be...........

my view is

1; every other steward around the ground stands right at the back of the block they are stewarding.....not in L-1

2; occasionally when the stewards are either escorting someone out or they've gone missing there is no problems....never those who want to stand do those who sit...sit!

3; the away stand is virtually ignored the cardiff fans on tuesday where talking to the coppers and stewards whilst standing at the blue railings near the exit :o .

at forest the stewards where lobbing us out like confetti.

4; the pigs are constantly recording US they never record the away fans

5; there is never any trouble in the ground ! the only reason fans get thrown out and arrested, followed by a swift kicking downstairs by the coward, shitbag, police is because a steward has a disagreement with them.

they should try different stewards in different areas or try to take a step back and monitor L-block from the top or bottom of the stand, instead of being in the thick of it

sitting in the aisles or constantly STANDING IN EVERONES WAY trying to get people to sit down.

the big fat steward at the top of L1 shouts at everyone to sit down when he is the one in the ainsle blocking the view of everyone. Take a relaxed approach. I agree with MADLEVEIN.

LCFC should really pull the stewards in and give em some training in Social Skills, a good number of these guys havent got a clue.

Theyre generally probably nice guy's, but come matchday when they don their XXXL yellow coat a number of them turn into "Mr Hardcase Official".

Whats the point i wonder to myself , old geezers in big yellow coats provoking the fans with the silly stares , the attitude alone makes you wanna go slap em.

I've sat in F1 for the last 2 seasons, and thats my opinion of the stewards there.

I guess the L1 guys get allocated the real "hardcore" XXXL yellowcoats who prolly feel they can do as they like, cos they got police there to get em outta the shit when they do f00k up.

Why the attitude towards the paying Leicester Fans - were the guys who pay the wages - without us theyre fooked.

Leicester Fans do not have a "reputation" as it were , but they get hassle week in week out.

A club visits whose supporters do have "reputation" and the fans are basically left to do as they like regarding standing etc. whats all that about.

Sort it out Mr Davies - The club wants the fans to get behind the team - The Fans want to get behind the team , but its difficult when the club is basically supressing the fans.

my twopenneth :)

And maybe there'll be a seat or two available on this training for some supporters.

Persistent standing in any area of the ground actually costs the club a considerable amount of money which could be used for transfers and to pay players wages.

The club is duty bound by the current law to try to stop persistent standing, this is all down to the legislation which followed the Taylor report, who do you think has to pay for the extra police and stewards used in L1. I personally would love to stand in designated standing areas but these are outlawed in the top 2 divisions and the only way to change this will be to change the law.

You are fighting the wrong people, however much I dislike our current board and their short termism they have no way to change the law. Lobby your MP, if enough football fans did the law could be changed and safe standing areas introduced.

If persistent standing continues the club could lose it's safety certificate or have L1 closed for safety reasons.

Enjoy the game, stand up when appropriate, sit down for the rest of the game...it's the only way to go at present.

PS. There is a general election on, why not ask you local candidates to support safe standing and vote for one who will.

So you don't mind the same thing when City are away then? If other clubs concentrated on the travelling support, like at Forest, all you do is moan that the away fans are being victimised, why don't they sort out their own fans first?

I think most of us understand that the clubs hands are tied in regard to standing, however, these rules aren't being applied equally across both sets of fans and I believe that is one of the main objections.

If both set's of fans were treated equally I think we'd see less complaints... we'd probably see a riot from the away fans, but at least the Leics fans would see it's not only them that are being victimised. :P

I have no grief with the stewards or police in / around L1 - The stewards don't hassle / bother me - The police don't film me (unless I happen to walk in front of them as they are filming other people)

Actually I lie, I get pissed off with the stewards for failing to keep the exit clear - Allowing people to leave their seats 5-10 mins before the final whistle only to stand in the stairwell watching the game and thereby preventing anyone else getting out - This is why it takes so long to get out from L1 at the end of the game

I recall the Cov away game this season, and thinking that the spitting, coin throwing chavs who sat directly next to the away fans were some of the most unpleasent brats I've had the misfortune to encounter

Spending this season in L1 has shown me that Leicester is no different to cov in that respect - and it seems to have got worse as the season has progressed - After the Cardidly game I really had to fight myself to avoid saying (or doing) something to the 2 knobs I was stuck behind on the stairs, who were spouting abuse at the awayers

Roll on next season - You'll not find me in L1 then

I tried L1 for the Blackpool cup game and it was full of chlidish chav's, ok a bit of a generalisation. I was assured by the fans on here that Blackpool was an exception, everything I've heard since convinces me that is not the case - it's the norm. Shame really becasue I'm sure there are some genuine, wholehearted, vocal, footballing appreciating LCFC fans in amongst them who get tarred with this brush. Having said that you wont find me in there again, I might risk K1 or J3

to be honest i think next season the stewards and police will lay off L1 ers a bit i just have a feeling. Plus i think leicester fans do have a slightly bad reputation as fans as in we are yobs because ive met two people on holiday in different countries and said i supported leicester and they both said tut your not one of their hooligans are you? this is odd as were not like the worst are we >??????
