General Smuts Posted 24 February 2009 Posted 24 February 2009 Myspazz Statement Im beyond gutted, but can't wait for the new album and hope Bryn and Alfie can still keep up the good tuneage. Ideal replacements would be Micko Larkin and Coz Kerrigan from Larrikin Love ut last i heard Micko was playing with Courtney Love.

I can't tell you how much this has saddened me, for a brief moment I considered slitting my wrists.
General Smuts Posted 24 February 2009 Author Posted 24 February 2009 Which ones have left? Says in the title of the thread. The drummer Dave Danger and the second frontman/guitarist/fiddler Rob Skipper.
ASH17LCFC Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Crap indie band who will live of 1 song for the rest of their lives. Can see it now when they're about 60 in some crappy pub talking to young girls ... We once were in a rock nd roll band. We made a song called generator and it was a hit ... don't care go away tramps.

To be honest I don't really care for them much either but still... Maybe because its true, i picked up NME today and i had to laugh. They were giving away a cd With all these crappy Indie bands covering The Cure songs. I felt sick to be honest.

I saw that but had no idea who they were y'see. Crap indie band who will live of 1 song for the rest of their lives. Can see it now when they're about 60 in some crappy pub talking to young girls ... We once were in a rock nd roll band. We made a song called generator and it was a hit ... don't care go away tramps. Some of their other songs were alright. "So this is great britain" is probably their best. At least their songs seemed to have some meaning behind them unlike most indie stuff around. They were a good band.

I hope that one day you die horribly and painfully alone and unwanted. I will then proceed to urinate upon you grave after skull****ing the life out of you. I bid you good day.

ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE.
General Smuts Posted 27 February 2009 Author Posted 27 February 2009 You do know that one day the INDIE scene will die, but like Neil Young once said ... ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE. You do know that to this day your precious Oasis are still classed as 'Indie' by most people you retched little ****jar. Name me one 'rock n roll' band still writing music today and ill show you it labelled differently.

Name me one 'rock n roll' band still writing music today and ill show you it labelled differently. Oasis, Coldplay, U2 and Rolling Stone don't write indie music you douche. Oasis last album and any other fooking album was never indie. The Holloways are indie, you are a typical NME rentboy and who ever gets put on the front you will follow and love and dress like a topshop tart. You are a scenester and i honestly don't care about your views on music because they're out of NME.

Oasis are Britpop and always have been and from the start they were championed by the very same magazine you seem to hate so much. Coldplay are very much pop music and there is literally fook all 'rock and roll' about them. There the tamest most tepid band in the world. The Rolling Stones haven't made a record in a long time and are barely breathing let alone still going. U2 i will give you. However Bono's dissapearing up his own arse very much like yourself so i doubt that'll last much longer. I'd still say they were a lot poppier than 'rock and roll' as well but thats a matter of opinion. As for being an NME rentboy, i bought this weeks copy with The Cure covers on it as im a fan of the Cure (and only knew it was out thanks to your good self moaning about it), however i haven't read NME for a long long time before this, so i couldn't comment on the magazine having not read it. You should try this some time. Not commenting i mean. Not breathing would hopefully soon follow. As for being a scenster, i don't think i've been anywhere near a scene for a long time but as far as me dressing like a topshop tart is concerned - Bang on the money. And proud of it

Yet you read NME too? The more and more i read your views, the more and more i think you're becoming what you claim hate so much - some sort of elitist, musical snob who shouts down anything that someone likes, which you dont happen to. Well guess what Ash? No-one gives a fuck mate. People will continue to listen to the music they like - indie, rock n roll, whatever, no matter what the bloody hell you think, because nobody cares. One day you will grow up, and learn to respect and appreciate others opinions on music rather than just flaming them. Its laughable kid. Grow up and have a reasonable debate for once.
