ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 what about mark davies? I don't know if anyone has found the answer to the minimum number of games yet but Mark Davies only played in 7 league games. As for him leaving the club that is irrelevent - if Liverpool win the league then Robbie Keane is in line for a Premier League winners medal!

As for him leaving the club that is irrelevent - if Liverpool win the league then Robbie Keane is in line for a Premier League winners medal! I don't know which is sadder - replying to my own post or e-mailing the Football League to find out how many appearances are required to be awarded a medal! Here is the official response: Dear Mr M******** Thank you for your email. A player needs to have played in 25% of a club’s league games to qualify for a winner’s medal. Best wishes for the remainder of the season (I think we can safely say that you’re not counting your chickens regarding Leicester’s impending title win!). Yours sincerely Mark Bradley Customer Service The Football League www.football-league.co.uk Assuming that 12 appearances are required would result in the following players being awarded medals: Kerrea Gilbert Aleksander Tunchev Tom Cleverley Matt Oakley Steve Howard Lloyd Dyer Matt Fryatt Michael Morrison Max-Alain Gradel Joe Mattock Andy King Jack Hobbs David Martin Paul Dickov Chris Powell Bruno Berner Nicky Adams needs one more appearance whilst Barry Hayles would have to feature in all three remaining games.
Blue Foxes Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 He did play a big part in our great run around the New Year to get us a good lead- I'm sure Pearson may ask for an extra medal to be made for him. Idk about that, I remember hearing that Pearson wasn't happy with the way he handled going to Bolton.
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 henderson wont get one(6),edworthy wont (4) cleverley will get a medal 10(5), kisnorbo needs 2 more appearances 5(8), nicky adams will get one 4(7), dj wont!, hayles needs 1 more apperance 1(8), chrissy powell will 10(5), brown needs to play the remaining three games 5(2), stockdale cant, neither can warner and ive just left the rest of the obvious ones out this is of course based on the 10 game rule. so why does Kinsnorbo need 2 more games, and Adams dont?
DeclanMC Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 I'm glad Chris Powell will get a medal, he should be allowed to keep the trophy as well. TBH Mark Davies doesn't deserve a medal for what he did for us. I know he was a fantastic player but essentially he used us in order to get a move up to the premiership. Not something you could blame him for but when he did not turn up to a game because his agent wanted to keep him fit for his move to bolton, you know he never cared about us.
