Are we debt free or did the 'new' LCFC take on the debts?

breadandcheese Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Don't forget Dog_4 that we do not own our stadium and thus have to operate it under a lease agreement. It is therefore important to concentrate on trying to buy our stadium back so that we can keep a larger share of the gate receipts in the future. This coupled with the need to put money aside for if we don't get promotion next season (with the stopping of the premier league parachute payments). Add to this the economic uncertainty and potential recession (that economic analysts are predicting) with the effect this will have on demand for merchandise and tickets. Not forgetting that the consortium which took over Leicester City had to get financial backing probably in the form of loans or bonds (all of which need to be repaid). Love them or loathe them, the board have done a good job. Our club is running at a profit. We should be pleased at that. We have a solid base from which to build.
Scow Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 we are not debt free. We pay 35 pence per pound to creditors i think. 105114[/snapback] 10 pence in the pound whilst in the Championship. 40 pence in the pound whilst in the Premiership.
SilverFox Posted 9 May 2005 Posted 9 May 2005 IN NO WAY ARE WE DEBT FREE. WE still owe people a lot of money. We made money last year...but that doesn't mean it is our money to keep. It just means that for once we weren't running at a loss. We had to pay large chunks of that money to creditors!!! In all we are millions of pounds in debt...and our budget cut for this year reflectsthat. Also as a side note, I doubt we made any profit this season! We only made a profit last season because we were playing in the premiership!!!! the board, and people behind the scenes at this club work very hard to provide what money they can to Craig. You don't know the facts so SHHHUUUUUDDDUP!
