All the city fans made the most of it, chanting at anything they could!

This happened just in front of my car, I have family in ipswich so I headed down early, had to brake hard when I saw a horse in the middle of the road. cant bleave the delay because of this. Looks like i was lucky in avoiding it.

I'm quite certain it became a life-changing catastrophe for some of the in-transit poultry which were becoming distressed even after 45 minutes in worsening conditions, never mind two hours.

When approached, 12 survivors of the in-transit poultry disaster, a14/09, declined to comment.

Thought this would ruin the day out when we first got told how long we'd be waiting, but actually turned out to be a bit of a laugh in the end, abusing traffic on the other side of the dual carriageway! THERE'S ONLY ONE EDDIE STOBART!!!! :P

obviously i didn't mean wade in and do something the other day, i'm not that fucking stupid. but you come on here with all the answers top everything, surely you'd be better served in some position of authority, where you can put all your answers to the worlds woes into action.

i know you'll pick up on the small piece of this post which i added purely for the sake of irony.

I've spent years in positions of authority which involved dealing with people.

Apart from the time spent gaining wide experience relating to the job concerned and being able to set an example, I'd say the major qualities required in leading people were the communication skills necessary to assess all the potential problems, the ability to see the potential consequences of those problems as a result of listening and then to be as flexible as necessary in order to achieve the required effectiveness to complete the job successfully.

I wasn't aware of those qualities being shown at all.

And the photographs of all those stranded vehicles - and they were merely illustrative of a static tailback that snaked back miles and remained thus for two hours - only served to give an example of the huge inconvenience caused to so many by so little.

Oh yes, and while a small army of energy services personnel were dealing with one injured horse, there was the sight of a woman and two infants walking along the seriously uneven ground next to the twin carriageways of the still open eastbound section of the A14.

Her car - which didn't seem to have broken down seeing as she later started it again and drove away - was parked on the same uneven surface by the side of the road and she walked back at least 800 yards and before returning the same way.

She was clearly uncomfortable trying to control the kids in what was a ridiculously dangerous situation but no-one from the emergency services appeared to offer her any kind of assistance.

then your experience is sorely missed, you must lead us out of the mess we find our selves in, in a world where people are inconvenienced, people are aggrieved, referees miss obvious goals, bridges get taken down, the charts are full of rubbish music, you must save us from our selves, please, please for all our sakes lead us into a better world.

I'm quite happy leading myself, thanks. It is when other leaders get involved I get pissed off and, referring to your examples, I'm not the only one with good reason to be pissed off with various examples of current leadership and decision making.

On a wider front it does make me wonder on what basis people get chosen to be in charge.

In the case of the referee you have to ask if ability or common sense came into it at all.

cock! traffic jams suck, and sitting in one for 2 hours would suck especially for a horse, this is a forum to vent about every day things so give the guy a break. i do about 50k miles a year minimum and traffic sucks, im afraid we are not perfect humans and we feel emotions like frustration and annoyance.

again we apologise for coming to your house making you log onto your computer, finding this thread and making you go to the effort to read and write a comment or two on it!

seriously GET A GRIP
