Guest Bilo Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Never rated him even before he came to city.Liked the sound of his own voice too much, over did it in the media ie was on soccer am far too much, had a colum in the Saturday Sport etc when he should of got his head down and put his full efforts towards keeping us up. I didnt find him funny tactically poor and ok we were pretty bad before he came, didnt really rate his signings. Wont be booing him though, he was the wrong guy at the wrong club at the wrong time. He didn't do too badly in the transfer market to be fair. Bloody awful at everything else though!
Finnegan Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Absolute indifference, it wasn't his fault that he was completely out of his depth. Him being here was Mandaric's fault. Agree with davieG. I don't really care how much stick he gets from thick-skulled City fans. I'm not going to stand and applaud or cheer the man that got us relegated but he's not in the same league as Peter Taylor for me. Taylor pretty much ruined the club with sheer and blinding ineptitude whilst all the while maintaining a horrible sense of just wankerness. Never liked him. We were already pretty much shit when Ollie took over and he just lacked the experience or the strength of character to turn it around. Pretty innocent in my book, I'm not someone that finds his media image all that annoying but even if I were I think I'd respect that he seems to have been genuinely humbled and genuinely upset by being relegated here. You watch him on the TV now or at Blackpool and he cuts a much calmer image.
