Subsidy would be nice, green too. They've cut the 39! Gone from six times an hour, to 5, to 4, to 3, to the route gone in a couple of years. How???

First day tickets are still £3.50 - at least when I bought mine yesterday..

You think thats bad... Its about £6-7 in Norfolk. Luckily i have my pass for college so don't have to pay, but it does take the piss.

First are even worse in Bristol. Two zones, so if your destination is fractionally into a huge area you pay shitloads more. £78 for a monthly ticket for me to get to work - the week tickets are only £19 anyway! Pointless.

Got a feeling prices have probably risen more in Leicester though. 4 years ago a day pass was £2.40 and week ticket £8.50. The bus I used to get was every 10 minutes - that one's now once every 20 minutes. If I get that bus now it's more than half the price again and half as frequent. Ludicrous.

Hang on... £78?????? It costs £64 for a monthly bus ticket in London, and that's with busses pretty much anywhere every ten minutes, through out the night! Obviously that's subsidised, but £78 is still ridiculous.

Its definatly not just Leicester im afraid.

Here in Wrexham its £2 to go 3.8 miles, on a wanked out old bus, with smelly people, and qrumpy drivers (plus its full of welsh people but I cant put that down to the bus companys fault ;)) Although if you can get to the train station (about half way) you can get to town for 40p (thats if the ticket people come and ask you for it!!)

Plus when I can come home to watch the footy I quite often have to catch the bus. I know the centre bus from Beau Leys to town used to be 75p and its now doubled in price!!

The government want to cut down on the carbon footprint etc. want people to use more public transport etc. its never going to happen with the current way all public transport is done. The trains are just stupid prices, the bus prices are stupid high aswell. It works out alot cheaper to drive in and park in town.

2x Tickets beau leys to town £1.50 on centrebus. twice is £6

Parking for a few hours is £3ish. Daft really.

My missus goes to london quite often and if you look early enough you can get tickets with National Express for a quid or two.
