Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 THey should go for someone in League 2 like Robins. He has done very well and I've been impressed with him at Rotherham. Also heard they are after John Still, which is also not a bad shout.
Salieri Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 If Barnsley appoint Adams then they're doomed, he's a dreadful "manager". When are clubs going to realise that appointing somebody just because they were a good player, or in some cases, an ex favourite, does not guarantee success in any way. I think Tranmere could be in trouble this season. Appointing John Barnes was another prime example of hiring someone who was a very good player but a god awful manager.
leicesterfox86 Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 He's done well to keep Barnsley up for a few years, but I think this year they'll go, whether he stayed or not. Yep, they are one of the favourites to go down, no doubt about that. They have punched aboved their weight with Davey for a number of years, so fair play to the job he has done. Wouldn't be suprised if he landed another job before long.
