Chandler Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 You don't write like some of the semi literate ****wits on this board GG but you sure as hell think like them. When the fickle bonehead scum finally succeeded in hounding out one of our better managers in recent years they didn't do so because they thought that his acquisitions were crap. In fact, the polar opposite was the case - they thought he wasn't able to manage 'class' players. The important thing to remember here is that it wasn't just our moronic fans who liked Adams last crop of imports - it was the media too. And the bookies (the fact that they made us favourites on the first day of the season is conveniently forgotten by those of low intelligence and actually denied by the brassnecks). So when did all the revisionism about 'old legs' start in earnest? Well, it was round about the time of our most embarrassing defeats of the season. You know that one against the shitty little outfit who play at the ground with a no star portakabin for a changing room? Except, of course, that we didn't play them there... And guess who started it...Well his first initial is er...C and his next initial is the letter just before M and er...immediately after K. The truth, of course, is that the mutterings of disgruntled, 'class' pro's about their new manager's rather distant, uninspiring brand of leadership were beginning to circulate. So Auchtermuckhootie's favourite son got the retaliation in first by implying that the oldies were a load of Highland League rejects. And so the clear out began... Then everyone started to get excited about a load of SPL rejects that started to turn up here. Every match without fail we heard about how great they were and how brilliantly the team were playing. The fact that we played in fits and starts, didn't score many goals, weren't too interested off the ball and didn't seem capable of defending set plays didn't faze them. More importantly, the fact that we were slowly sinking to the bottom of the Championship cess pit even with Craig's great NEW stars playing so brilliantly didn't register either. The point that I am making GG is very simple: it is that CL is incapable of MOTIVATING his side. The more that he fashions it in his own image and likeness the worse things get. And the fickle boneheads can't bring themselves to admit they made the wrong call over Adams. Other than blind faith then, there is no cause for optimism for next season. So forget the title, auto promotion or a play-off spot. Forget even a play-off challenge. I'm telling you pal; mid-table mediocrity next term will be the absolute best we can hope for. Regardless of which players we bring in (er.. Ronaldinho excepted). Why should you believe me? Go on to Talking Balls and check out my posts there. Everything I said about hounding Adams out has come to pass. That's why I was booted off. Of course the fickle boneheads (in a pathetic attempt to cover their semi wiped backsides) are now publicly managing their expectations downwards to absurdly low levels. Some of these morons are even saying that they will be content with Championship football for several season. Our debts are too great you see. The mess was too big you know. You have no right to expect Premiership football from Craig Levein you glory hunting arseholes! These statements like the gossamer promises of oily politicians beg a very obvious question don't they? If all these things were REALLY true... How comes they demanded AUTOMATIC PROMOTION from Adams?????????????
BartonFox Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 How comes they demanded AUTOMATIC PROMOTION from Adams????????????? Because he said we were aiming for the top 2!!!!! Chimp Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 How comes they demanded AUTOMATIC PROMOTION from Adams????????????? 105870[/snapback] No-one demanded automatic promotion, MA stated that that was his aim, hence that's what the fans expected. MA only has himself to blame for that one. As for the rest of your post... whatever, it's just the same old same old from you Chandler, your posts have become very predictable, tedious and vacuous. If you are a true City fan then why not join in on some of the other discussions going on in these forums? Why do you persist in playing the same broken record?
SilverFox Posted 10 May 2005 Posted 10 May 2005 Christ you're boring. Can someone post the link to that section on the forum where you can bar posts from certain users please? I've had enough of this feckwit!

I'm a huge fan of your work too. I'm not completely sure what you're moaning about, and also I really don't know how it all applies to me (but thanks for setting up a thread in my name - I feel so honoured). For the record, I was not part of the "fickle bonehead scum" who were responsible for hounding out Micky Adams. I fully supported Micky and was one of the few people on TeamTalk to do so. The fact that the majority of people on that site haven't got a clue is the main reason why I'm now posting on here instead. To another of your points, the media were fools to make us favourites on the first day. Teams who are relegated seem to be instantly made favourites by the media, as they assume that relegated sides will be head and shoulders above the competition who are already down there. The fact that we had no money, an ageing squad and a fanbase who was becoming ever-more frustrated at the management team didn't seem to come into it - as far as the media were concerned we were favourites because we'd just come down. Unfortunately too many of our fans believed the hype. I never did. As for the 'SPL rejects', you can't deny that Maybury has been excellent for us. So has McCarthy (and he's not even from the SPL), and Hughes is looking promising. De Vries is the only dud. But that's not a team - Levein was still using players like Dabizas, Heath and the increasingly indecisive Walker and they weren't his players. This season it hasn't been his team. Next season it will be. Let's reserve our judgement until then and, most of all, be patient.

So you agree that Adams made a rod for his own back then? I think you'll find the local media and supporters used the words 'play-offs' and 'promotion' upon the arrival of CL. He might of uttered a few things but then has since gone on to admit it was a little harder than he first thought. What's wrong with that? Mind you the state the place was in after Adams what can you expect. He's shown a little humility, thought it would be easier but admits it wasn't, sadly there are a few people who refuse to admit they got it wrong. Like those on message boards where they repeatedly get a 'cyber beating' and still won't pack up.

And the only reason why I joined the 'pubes' was because I was booted off TT by the pathetic autocrat Webbo. You should know by now I never shirk a challenge (verbal or physical). 1-0 to me. 2) Agreed - but making rash statements and chucking wobblers were his hallmarks. Wasn't given very long to see out his prediction though was he? The 'Adams Out' scumbags started on him after match 4 before August was out (and guess the name of the poster who came on here to say he would NEVER get rid of Adams). Levein not only made the same rash statement he then went on to make a number of others and dragged us into a relegation scrap. Yet after 30 games in charge with results steadily worsening the shit-for-brains boneheads still think he's the bees kneees. 2-0 to me. 3) Nail on the head, farty Barty. That's exactly what THEY (and YOU) said. And THEY (and YOU) WERE WRONG. You proved yourselves to be gullible, naive and very foolish. I can say that because I was one of the few posters on TT that said hounding out Adams would be a big mistake and that we would not make the play-offs if he left. I have said this consistently since August and I have been proved RIGHT. 3-0 TO ME. 4) 'Might' takes the auxilliary verb 'have' to form the perfect tense: '...might HAVE uttered. 'Might of' is an embarrassing malapropism. Like an ASBO it is a badge of honour amongst uneducated 'yoof'. 5) If I was ever given a cyber beating I can only conclude that you inhabit that parallel universe where LCFC won promotion in season 2004/5. Back here in THIS one they finished an unimpressive 15th. As I predicted the woeful performance under Levein's stewardship that makes me victor, not vanquished. 4-0 to me. I seem to remember some sort of 'ignore function' that you had found and were enthusiastic about using, farty Barty. The fact that you revisit the same thread within 24 hours or so of this discovery clearly shows you either to be weak or in awe of me (or both). So thanks for the 'Respect' but I'm still going to piss all over you you twisted expat Jocko bastard! SHANG-A-LANG
BartonFox Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 Trust me internationalfox respect is the last thing I have for you. Once again you have demonstrated the maturity of Veruca Salt with your tantrum and attempt at personal abuse. Other than you and your alter ego's everyone else can see the improvement under Levein as now it is becoming clear what a sorry mess Adams left us in. The fact that he saw fit to offer Trevor Benjamin a new contract today is testament that he has very little footballing nouse. Ignore function, as you put it, has been justified and you know it, it clearly still riles you. Keep trying to troll around it does provide a cathartic release.
