Knighton Matt Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 O'Neill spent much of his Friday news conference talking about the inevitable changes he anticipates at the club during the close season. The likelihood of Craig Bellamy making his loan move permanent is no clearer, while Rab Douglas seems certain to leave for Leicester, along with Momo Sylla. But Balde, who was poised to sign for Middlesbrough in January until he had a last-minute change of heart to remain in Glasgow, is not a player O'Neill would want to lose, particularly for nothing. Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness admitted this month that the German club are contemplating a summer move for the 29-year-old. O'Neill said he saw no reason why Balde would not still be at Celtic Park at the start of next season. But he added: "I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be here, but I can't be sure of anyone. "There are going to be a number of changes in the summer time. "We need some new players into this football club and there are a number of players who are out of contract and those situations have not been resolved." from bbc sport
