In outlook I have my emails in order of date received. However, some that are unread which I intend to read later end up falling right down the pack and I forget about them. Is there a way of ensuring that all unread mail stays at the top and the rest remain in date received order???

Why don't you just keep an eye on the "Unread Mail" bit in the top left corner?

Click this:

Go down to 'Custom'

Click 'Sort'

Change it to Unread then by Received

I think this works. I don't use Outlook I just had a quick play.
