Easter mini-league

A disappointing few days, but a goosebump inducing 9 days ahead starting from Saturday. By the end of Easter Monday most teams will have played 42 games and the table could be all but settled. Three tough away games for us. Derby are in terrible form, Cardiff are the archetypal Championshsip team, spectacular some weeks, terrible in others. WBA have class in abudance, but considerable fragility. Then everyone's friend Warnock brings the hoops to the Walkers on Easter Monday.

12 points up for grabs. I reckon if we get 7 of them we will be as good as sorted. Just a little personal plea to all City followers to get right behind the team in these four games. We would I think all agree that our performance this season has vastly exceeded pre season expectations. We're also, for the most part, playing some pretty decent football. Teams like Wolves and Stoke are showing that it is possible to be an 'unfancied' team, and stay in the Premiership without bankrupting the Club. Thus it would appear we are on the threshold of something extraordinary, and almost impossible to contemplate just 22 months ago when we slipped into the Third Division.

Obviously it would be an enormous help if Bruno returns (his absence coincided with our little dodgy spell in January, and his return came in that pulsating draw with Newcastle), but if not, we will have to trust what we've got.

Good luck over the next week and a bit boys. This has been a fantastic season so far, and I think the best is yet to come. We can do this.
