I don't know what we're worrying about, playoffs are ours to lose!
davieG Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 Far be it for me to pick fault having made a monumental cockup of a similar topic but you've got us to draw with Cardiff and Cardiff to win Not checked any others
kylestyle06 Posted 29 March 2010 Author Posted 29 March 2010 I thought it was too good to be true to make no errors
davieG Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 I thought it was too good to be true to make no errors Well it couldn't be worse than the one I did.
kylestyle06 Posted 29 March 2010 Author Posted 29 March 2010 You get the picture anyway, it would mean us being really shite to drop out tbh... I've been kind on the other teams... Wembley here we come!
Spencer Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 How likely is it that there'll only be draws and wins in the play-off contenders matches from now til the end of the season?
maddog Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 I did the predictor and according to that we only need 8 more points to seal 6th place
lcfc_sam_p Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 Also Blackpools 'likely amount of points' is 69, where they have 75 in the table. But yeah, it is ours to throw away really.
Jfox Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 Reading are the most likely team to catch us IMO as they have the easiest run-in, Their hardest games being Cardiff and Newcastle otherwise all their oppositions arent too tricky. Doncaster have very difficult games away at Blackpool and Swansea as well as West Brom at home in which they will most likely drop points, so that just about rules them out. Blackpool could drop points against Forest and Doncaster at home and will most likely lose at Newcastle, but they also have very win-able games as well so they have a good chance. Middlesborough have some (four) very win-able fixtures but could drop points against us and West Brom. Sheffield United are out of it IMO as they have the hardest run-in of the chasers. They have tricky home games against Barnsley, Swansea and Coventry, the Sheffield derby and very hard away games against Ipswich and Newcastle. Swansea have tough games against Cardiff (away), Bristol City (away), Sheffield United (away) and Doncater (home) so could easily drop a lot of points. Cardiff could also drop a lot of points as they have a few difficult games: Leicester, Swansea, Forest (away), Reading, QPR (away) and Derby (away). IMO they are the most vulnerable of the three (us, Swansea and Cardiff) but it depends which Cardiff turns up for the games. As for Leicester, we should be okay but for a disaster. Even if we only win the QPR, Watford and Peterborough games, I think that will still be enough.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 OK, so I went back to the BBC predictor thing and decided to be pretty harsh on us in the final 7 games and as nice to the other teams as I can without being over the top. 6. Leicester City - L, L, D, W, W, L, D = 69 pts 7. Reading - W, D, D, L, W, W, W, W = 69 pts 8. Blackpool - W, D, L, D, W, W = 68 pts 9. Middlesbrough - W, W, W, L, D, D = 65 pts 10. Coventry City - W, D, D, W, D, W = 64 pts 11. Sheffield United - W, L, D, W, D, D = 63 pts Granted it could come down to goal difference, but with us having a good defense and a positive goal difference and Reading currently having a fairly poor one, it could still end up in our favour. Of course, this is all if our final matches end up being as predicted above.
Lisburn Fox Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Cardiff (a) L (Shit mid week away fixture against a team who are on the up when we are struggling at the Mo) West Brom (a) L (They are a better team than us I am afraid) QPR (h) D (Warnock enough said he takes peasure pissing us off) Peterborough (a) W (We are good enough to take these) Watford (h) D (Need points to be safe will battle) Preston (a) L (Look at the recent record a bogey team away for us) M'boro (h) D (Hopefully they will bout of it by now and if we need to win I think we will but most likely a draw) This is looking on the dull side I think 68 points will give us a play off place, This scenario gives us 67 + a better goal difference
Fox92 Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 I rekon for us: Cardiff City Away L West Bromwich Albion Away W Queens Park Rangers Home D Peterborough United Away W Watford Home W Preston North End Away L Middlesbrough Home D 11 Points
leicesterfox86 Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 How likely is it that there'll only be draws and wins in the play-off contenders matches from now til the end of the season? Exactly, no one can predict... cliche, but it is one game at a time. Keep going boys!!!

Guest DavidJCW Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 I seriously hope this DOESNT happen... Thats too close to call :l Trust me, I hope it doesn't happen either as I couldn't even take the tension when it was 0-0 vs Forest at the Walkers this season so God alone knows what I'd be like if it got that close by the end of the season! I'm still hoping we'll win the next 6 and it'll be a breeze!
Jiggers the Fox Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 As much as i do see Reading as a considerable threat to us, i cant help but feel that there long run of good form surely cant last to the end of the season!
