Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 May 2005 Author Posted 17 May 2005 I never liked him to be frank. He was always better suited to the name Lilian. 109874 Bet you werent saying that when he scored crackers against Leeds and Cov. 110373 Honestly, in that Leeds game we won 4-0 and he scored one of the two best goals I've ever seen by a Leicester player but did absolutely naff all else. I can honestly say I didn't want him in the team the next week. 110377 Are you having a laugh? he had his best game (Barca aside) in a Leicester shirt against Leeds that night, he got stuck in, made some superb passes and rounded it off with THAT goal. I'd say thats more than a good reason to include him in the team that next week. 110414 Opinions, opinions. I thought he was rubbish. But good luck to him in general.

His set pieces were woeful and his passes were pretty shocking.
shrood Posted 17 May 2005 Posted 17 May 2005 bit of a shame, on his day (admittedly there werent many of them) he did have the ability to turn a game....

supedaj Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 He was a good player - good passing, great vision at times. He just didnt get stuck in much when we were chasing. With the central midfield currently shaping up with at least 2 of the following : Hughes, Williams, Kisnorbo.. CL probably couldnt guarantee Lilian regular football. At this stage in his career (he's around 33 dont forget) would he rather be on Leicesters bench (and that for 1 season max) or playing regular football? I think the latter personally so can see it from both sides.
Nationwider Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 Good luck to him. He was a nice passer, who was just a bit on the slow side. I hope he shines for Sheff Utd, and that (Nalis apart) the Blades have a terrible 05-06.
