Guest Bilo Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Let's be honest, the noughties wasn't a great decade for us. We started well by finishing 8th in the Premiership and qualifying for Europe with little funds, but then O'Neill left and everything went tits up. Only in 2008, with the arrival of Pearson, did the decline show signs of ending. If he stays here for a few years yet, we'll be bumping our way up that table for sure.
The Doctor Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 i'd have expected us to finish lower than that given we spent half the decade flirting with relegation to league 1.
Guest Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Unsurprising, the Taylor, Levein, Kelly, Worthington, Allen, Megson, Burrows, Holloway eras really were gash
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 20 May 2010 Posted 20 May 2010 I look forward to showing this table to my kids one day

Ike O'Noclassed Posted 21 May 2010 Posted 21 May 2010 Shouldn't we feature in the "on a high" list as we finished +20 places higher than our lowest league placing (45th in 08-09)?
C-man Posted 21 May 2010 Posted 21 May 2010 Shouldn't we feature in the "on a high" list as we finished +20 places higher than our lowest league placing (45th in 08-09)? On a high suggests that you finished in your highest position over the decade with the comparison of where you were at your lowest. Our highest position this decade will have been 8th (2000). On a separate note, I would say we were more 'successful' than 80-odd teams on that list because we won 1 more major trophy than they did.
