Leicesterboi Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 Something that has just been reported to me in the office today is that Leicester are keen on Accrington Striker Michael Symes. Whilst watching on loan striker Billy Kee, along with other City youngsters on loan at League 2 clubs, Grant caught the eye of Gerry Taggart and Steve Beaglehole. Expect activity within 10 days I'm told. Symes is available on a free transfer after only signing a 12 month contract last summer. LCFC also enquired about Symes' team mate Bobby Grant but he opted for S****horpe as he felt there were more first team opportunities there. Part of me says fair play to the lad for that although I would have liked to see him here.
Asha Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 From what I've seen of Symes, he's only average League 2 quality. Plus he's 26, not like he's a young talent or 'one for the future'.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 His career profile to date is far from promising. 1 goal in every 4 games, and he's been loaned out 5 times in his career (3 of those loaned out from Shrewsbury).
