iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Obviously with Pearson going and the backroom staff as well as Birch, Milan's court case etc, I think we're in turmoil and it seems that we are more skint than first feared after this week. Your views ?

Narborough_fox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 What is actually going with Birchy? Oh and I'm hoping for this takeover to go through clear the debts and look to future but my main view at the minute is to keep all the playing staff.

Oh and I'm hoping for this takeover to go through clear the debts and look to future but my main view at the minute is to keep all the playing staff. There was a rumor going around that Birch had been sacked from the club due to his wage (reported 75k). LCFC website then released a statement saying it was not true and he is still a valued member of their staff.
hackneyfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I've been told that the smart money is on Sousa. If that is true then Compensation will be payable. So we can't too hard up. Perhaps Milan wanted NFP out and this way he doesn't get the shitbombs.
Donut Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Maybe im being a bit premature on this one, but i really hope this isnt a season of real struggle Teams such as Bristol City , MK dons in the league below etc have had success relatively quickly and then stagnated and have started to go backwards. The rise of our club under Pearson was meteoric and now it feels like the wheels are falling off with a squad that is being dismantled, and the same goes for the backroom staff. With no money to spend, how are we realistically expecting to improve the squad? selling our prized assets in order to fund some free transfer moves in and other bargain buys might give us a bit of squad depth, but where is the quality going to come in? Surely as well, Pearson was getting the ABSOLUTE MOST out of the squad he possibly could last season, and i dont see that happening again, even if Pearson was still there. Then of course, there is the combined influence of the playoff defeat hangover, which Leeds, Bristol City, Cardiff (who missed the playoffs and then struggled thereafter for a season) which clubs suffer AND the usual second season syndrome which teams usually become embroiled in. Now obviously, there will still be quality candidates to want to come in and manage the club and who's to say that we wont kick on and have a successful season But do you feel that, like me, there are some worrying alarm bells ringing already?
