dandannieldanok Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Maybe it's because they gave us something to cheer about, as I've said before these days in our all seater stadiums I judge a good game on how many times I get out of my seat, on Tuesday that was a lot but there's been many games for a number of years where it's been hard to see anything even worth clapping. In that situation it becomes very difficult to keep summoning up the energy and enthusiasm to vocally urge the team on. Let's hope the style and enthusiasm shown on the pitch continues. Yea most definitely, obviously there are special occasions where the atmosphere is fantastic in spite of the shite your team serve up (Sheff Utd away 08), but the 2nd half performance on Tuesday really buoyed everyone. The passage of play where our players came in with successive slide tackles and pop-passes, and successive shots saved by Marshall, got everyone going, never mind King's goals!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 It should be us trying to get the players going not the other way round

davieG Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 It should be us trying to get the players going not the other way round Well of course but when you've sat through as many shite games as I have your motivation plummets especially when you give it your all early on in a game and they are still shite, A human being can only take so much and on top of that we're paying them.

I'm sure i'll be exactly the same when i am older! but right now i still have my optimism and motivation!
davieG Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 I'm sure i'll be exactly the same when i am older! but right now i still have my optimism and motivation! I have that when they put in a performance and my optimism rises after a game like Tuesdays but so often you get deflated by the inevitable false dawn. Let's put it this way I'm more optimistic about seeing a decent game after Tuesday than I was after the Burnley game when I felt that if I never saw a game again it would be too soon. and yet I still went to Leeds and thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd half
