Nationwider Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 Just a contrast to the Sheffield Wednesday thread, I thought I'd wish Hartlepool good luck for today's L1 play-off final. It's a true David v Goliath match in terms of support, but the Poolies have every right to be mixing it with the likes of LCFC, Leeds, Southampton, Wolves etc next season. For years, Hartlepool were the worst club in the country. Now they've finally got the chance to "dip their toes in the water". For everyone who likes an underdog.... Come on you Pools!!!!
TornadoShaunUK Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 stuff them.. I'll be rooting for Sheffield Wednesday - Hartlepool can come up next year by beating Notts Forest in the play off final B)
Rachel - WCF Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 aww i'd like to wish hartlepoole all the best i hope they win today would be great to see them at the WS next season and it'll give me a chance to go visit my friend up there at the away game C'mon the 'Pool
Cobbo Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 3-2 to Wednesday in the 4th min of ET. That'll probably be that.
Rachel - WCF Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 hmm theres still time for the pool to score again i have faith in them *prays*
Cobbo Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 Talbot makes it 4-2 in the last min of extra time. Well done Sheff, see you next season.

Stuliasz Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 Looking forward to walking to Hillsborough next season , although I've got an exam there this Friday
Newcastle_Fox Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 Was a good entertaining final. Last time I went Hillsborough was the coca cola cup final replay. Can remember being stuck in the Morrisons car park after the game with loads of other leicester fans singing and tooting their horns. Great memories!
TornadoShaunUK Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 I thought Wednesday had some decent looking players today. That James Quinn guy looked like a class player and particularly stood out for me..
Nationwider Posted 31 May 2005 Author Posted 31 May 2005 Hillsborough's always a good day out so I'm looking forward to making that fixture next season. Wednesday were lucky on Sunday though.
Alexikokopops Posted 1 June 2005 Posted 1 June 2005 A guy in my halls is a HUGE Hartlepool fan and he went on Sunday. He said he was speaking to a Sheffield Wednesday fan after the game who said it was never a Penalty. I haven't seen it though.
