The Doctor Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 I'm surprised by the negative response, I don't think Portsmouth did it as a marketing gimmick, I think it was a genuine show of affection to their fans by the club. I know that the relationship with the fans and the club is not the best at the moment, something like this would be a simple gesture by the club to recognise the fans, it may help build relationships and start a bit more dialogue between the supporters and the club. If they were to recgonise that the fans can be the 12th man, then they may be more open to helping with some of the other problems, such as standing areas, and some of the others mentioned. With the new owners in charge and the team looking like it's playing well again, it may be a good time to start discussions, something like swapping the family with the kop would need a bit of time to do so start now with an aim to have it in place by next season. The idea of wearing a 12 on your shirt was me just wondering if anyone would. pah, i doubt they will go from harmless yet cheesy gesture to sorting out standing areas (other than l1) etc. and you can discuss swapping the kop until the cows come home, it's simply not going to happen.
Shrenchel Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Yeah what a fvcking army we have nowadays. I know I for one am going to shit the bed tonight at the mere thought of them ferocious bastards.
Kitchandro Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Er, I think that would make you considerably more immature. If I was a professional footballer I'd expect to have the priveleges
