Little Nicky Posted 2 June 2005 Posted 2 June 2005 Had confirmation from play.com earlier on that the album had been sent , can't fookin wait, I hope it gets here either tomorrow or saturday, as it isn't out till monday! I just hope it lives upto my expectation!
Scarby Posted 3 June 2005 Posted 3 June 2005 Ive got it! its quality better than Rush Of Blood To The Head but not as good as paracutes
Matt Posted 3 June 2005 Posted 3 June 2005 Can't wait, I'm a massive Coldplay fan, never seen them live which i'm gutted about but i'm thinking about trying to get tickets for Live 8 which is gonna be amazing! I was going to pre-order, but didn't get round to it, but i'm hoping Asda won't have sold out, I don't think they will have to be honest... Coldplay have always been a big band but i'm glad Coldplay are getting alot of credit now, Since the new album annoucements have been around people have started to give Coldplay alot more respect and credit! I had it in my head that the album was released last monday, I was well disappointed when I found out I had to wait another week! But theres only 2 days to wait

If you've never been to the Leadmill it's a pretty small place.

If you've never been to the Leadmill it's a pretty small place. 118908 I nearly saw them in Melbourne, Australia, the first time I went oz (About 4/5 years ago) I was a fan of Coldplay but I hadn't got there album at the time (They only had Parchutes out at the time anyway) but I quite liked them, and at this time it was when I really became a massive fan of Coldplay. My Australian cousins mate gets free tickets to see bands and he can get quite a few tickets for his mates too, so My cousin got tickets but because my cousin hadn't told his mate I didn't have a ticket, at the time I wasn't that disappointed as I said I was a fan but wasn't too bothered. Looking back on it i'm gutted! Watched Jonathan Ross's show last night, Coldplay we're on, the played Speed of Sound, In My Place, and Fix You. On MTV tommorrow night (9pm) is a special live gig Coldplay played in April sometime.
Matt Posted 4 June 2005 Posted 4 June 2005 Ive got it!its quality better than Rush Of Blood To The Head but not as good as paracutes 118818 I'm listening to it on AOL now, its amazing! Its my first listen of it so I can't really make to much judgement yet on whether its better or worse than there forst two albums but all I can say is i'll be buying it Monday morning on the way to college, ASAP and the CD won't have much of a break for a few weeks and months! As I said its my first listen and I don't like to make too much judgement of first listens, but to me its seems to have different sound to the other two albums, is it just me or do people agree?

Little Nicky Posted 4 June 2005 Author Posted 4 June 2005 I got it through the post this morning, I've gave it a listen, sounds good but not a patch on Parachutes!
Matt Posted 5 June 2005 Posted 5 June 2005 Parachutes will always be amazing, and always be a classic, but I personally think A Rush Of Blood To The Head just edges it, I still havn't decided where X & Y will go. Just watched "Ask Coldplay" and "Coldplay: MTV Live" on MTV. Fix You =
bluefox Posted 6 June 2005 Posted 6 June 2005 My copy is on its way from Amazon.com. However i hve to leave for work b4 the postie comes so will have to play it tonight
Matt Posted 6 June 2005 Posted 6 June 2005 :w00t: Bought it on the way to college about 8.15 this morning, I have heard it on the internet as I have said but i've been listening to it at college all day and its amazing i'm it.
