When using my iPad I can read all the posts just like using any computer but to reply or post, I have to switch to 'FT Mobile' is that normal or am I missing something?

Nope that's normal - though you can use HTML code to type really short responses into the regular forum but it comes out in a weird box and everybody wonders what weirdness you are posting......... it was a mystery to me for a while too!
