Mee Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 I was recently named, Head of Sponsership of a small sunday league side, im finding it really hard to find a sponser that will pay for a kit. Is there anyone on here who knows of, owns or works for a company that we would have a chance with? Cheers Me and my mates have just started our team, we just went to a company and they said they would pay for our home kit. Just big yourself up and say you will send them photos, etc and it seemed to work. We got in a oil distributor (I think they are ), just go for medium sized companies. No harm in asking everywhere buddy!
Fox You Forest Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 I'll sponsor you if you reveal your real username. !!!!!
danny. Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 How much is the kit? What is in it for the company sponsoring you? What kind of exposure will it get etc?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 You need to approach local business and you can't just say give us a $1000 and we will slap your name on our kit. You have to make it enticing and try to give back to the business. ie. If it's a local restaurant, maybe a deal where if you mention you are from that footy club they get a 10% discount on all meals. This means that people are more likely to eat there and brings both parties closer together. Maybe if you have a club function they get the cattering rights. The above can work for all sorts of business. Also when putting a 'proposal' to a potential sponsor look the part ie. wear a suit, maybe even get one of the players to attend the 'proposal'. No one is just going to give you money in this economy, you need to make it enticing. It's about creating win-win situations for both parties.
DB11 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Small Sunday League side isn't the most tempting team to sponsor, so are there any personal links anyone has to a company? Did you win the County or League Cup, whereby celebration photos have the sponsor logo on?
ch4mbo Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Well i'm going to gate crash this thread and say if anyone wants to sponsor my under 15's this year I will happily provide team photo's, I'm also happy to offer them out for child labour for a day I need the following sponsored and this is what you get: matchday tops (hoodies) and warm up shirts for them to wear whilst warming up and afterwards. Our club badge on the front the players name on the back and the sponsors logo across the front or back or even both! Cost approx £400 at the most Matchday Kits. Either Home or away. Again sponsor's names to appear on either fron or back or even both. Costs are dependant on numbers and style selected but would be no more than £500 per kit. Maybe £600 if you have expensive tatse All sponsors would recieve photo's. We are / were a successful team who have won the league cup once and are runners up twice as well as prevoius division 1 runners up. The league folded the team last year due to such an injury list that we couldn't fulfill fixtures. Most of the lads who where fit went to see out the season with other division 1 teams which was fair enough, but it means the league have put us in division 2 this year and I am having to start all over again, although I am gueninely excited to see what I can do with a new group of lads. If there's anyway I can help any potential sponsors out I will, I'm the head coach for a Large Local Football Company so I will be only to happy to offer to do some coaching for any team the sponsors would like me to. In addition I will place the sponsors logo on the teams web site and I will unashamedly plug them when ever and where ever I can. For any additional info please feel free to ask PS: sorry for using your thread ?????
