MPH Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 If we were to play a pre-season game against ... say Birmingham and we were to lose 4-0 that might dent our confidence a bit... but we will be playing Real Madrid.. who we will have no pressure put on us to beat.. if we lose 4-0 to them the players will go into the tunnel, shrug their shoulders, dust themselves off and realize they just got outplayed by a world class team. There will be no shame in losing to a team like Real Madrid. However if we play remotely well against them and put in a spirited performance.... the lads will be totally elated at playing well against them and give them such belief and confidence for the season ahead..... its a win win really even if we dont win....
DB11 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 This is exactly my thinking. I wouldn't be surprised to see* Messi score only for a piece of elastic to pul the ball back to him so that he scores again... and again... and again. So we'll lose 20-0 *not that I'm going. Messi?
