Bob.For.The.Win. Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Personally I would have thought we will have to be using a 4-4-2 formation with all of the midfielder's that we have, but I could be wrong... Any thoughts?
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Will be the 4-3-2-1 system he used last season I would imagine.
One Half Wonder Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Personally I would have thought we will have to be using a 4-4-2 formation with all of the midfielder's that we have, but I could be wrong... Any thoughts? i much prefer 4-4-2 but there's no we'll be playing it as we only have 1 out and out winger in Lloyd Dyer, the others who played there last season (Gallagher, Vassell, N'Guessan) are either forwards or aren't with us any longer. The midfielders we have all play in the centre (King, Wellens, Danns, Oakley) so i reckon he'll play 4-3-3 - hope i'm wrong and he signs a couple of wingers though!
joel Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Whatever Sven uses is fine by me Same Whatever Sven uses is fine by me Same
Fox92 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I like a shape based around 4-3-3. This would mean a forwadrd line of Nugent wide right, Vassell wide left with a goalscorer through the centre. Thing is with this formation, it can be easily changed as well. Sven could go 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 or even 4-4-1-1 etc depending on the match and whats happening with our play, creativity and chances etc
blueblood88 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 4-3-3 Schemichel Peltier Mills © St Ledger Konchesky Danns Wellens King Routledge Nugent Gallagher For what it's worth, I think that will be the starting XI against Cov.

blueblood88 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Your brother confident about routledge then From whats been said, Routledge should be signing today or tomorrow, plus he said a forward will be signing. I'd class Routledge as a forward tbh!
