foxaholic Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Teams getting promoted to the Premier are automatic favourites to go down . Teams going up to Div I from Div2 always struggle . Teams coming from Div 1 to Championship always do well unless no resources at all like Scunthorpe. Although early lo and behold the top 2 are the promoted teams and who would be shocked if Southampton and Brighton got promoted. The fact is that the Championship is far from hard .It was embarrassing to watch QPR on match of the day and realise virtually the same team walked it last year and beat us twice
jamesmilner Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 being classed as " the man city of the championship" ,having sven as our manager , having the thais 100% behind the club getting promotion ,being favourites for promotion , it shouldn't be too hard or are our fans deluded ? we will see !
Joe. Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Absolute nonsense, it's an extremely competitive division. Staying consistent for 46 matches is no mean feat, which is why we shouldn't be getting too carried away with everything that's happened here this summer. Other fans may be expecting us to "walk" this thing, but that's just not going to happen. Yesterday should have been enough of a reality check to demonstrate that perfectly.
purpleronnie Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 This years championship is the toughest for years. We would do well to make it into the playoffs.
