GianEmmo Zola Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Its been a great transfer window weve signed some class players. Yes people would have liked kebe, maynard as such. But we cant have everything can we! We have been held to ransom. By most clubs because we have money. But with the addition of a couple of loanees well have a definate crack at promotion. ! Sven has signed players capable of getting out this league, he hasnt signed big time charlies or players looking for their last pay cheque. He has bought players still in their prime ala danns beckford nugent or younger going into their prime ala mills peltier gelson etc. Delighted to be a leicester fan right now!
nuttytimmy Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 This has seen the most exciting introductions to our squad in years and there is no doubt about the talent Eriksson has added. There are only two players who are arguably 'first teamers' I worry about, but as they are Pantsil and Johnson - and were free and loaned respectively, in addition to us having cover for both - I think we've done a solid job overall. I've gone through player-by-player on my blog, have a read and see if you agree.
Guest MattP Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Given the players that we've signed, including a Premiership-class striker on deadline day, it's good to see that our fans can still look for the negatives! Leicester fans Not trying to put a downer on but if he is premier class why he surplus to requirements from a premiership team? He should be a damn good striker in this league but I don't see him as premier class when he hasn't scored a handful of premiership goals.
Guest MattP Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 I don't understand why people see it as "negative" to point out we need a winger?

I dont think everton were in a position to reject same with arteta te be fair. I hear they are struggling for money

Rusko187 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Pretty happy with the transfers, we brought in some good players proven at this level and got rid of some deadwood! Very happy we got Beckford too but don't understand why people aren't feeling the same?! Were they expecting us to sign Tevez or something??
maccfox Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Was the worst deadline day ever sat glued to SSN from 9 AM and they finally confirmed we had Beckford at 1230AM, my head nearly exploded
