I found it really interesting, the guy that taught us was totally deaf but was a great laugh. Trouble is if you don't use it you lose it, which is what's happened to me. Do you have a hearing problem, I believe The_Foxes_Legend is deaf.

This girl came upto me in a bar in Tenerife as she noticed i had hearing aids and was signing to me.. i couldnt sign back but we still managed to communicate however it was very limited. Made me realise i could open up to a whole new bunch of people and i could learn a language which i wouldnt have problems with accents or sounds.
davieG Posted 21 June 2005 Posted 21 June 2005 Well I'm now deaf in one ear and wear an hearing aid in the other, which works quite well, I think you should try and learn it. It would be good idea if you could get a mate to go along and learn it with you so you have someone to practice with. I'm sure you could find some uses for it when your both in chatting up mode - what's the sign language for "Mines the blonde look at the *^*"* on her, I don't fany yours mate" Think of the fun you could have.

Teeno Posted 22 June 2005 Posted 22 June 2005 I'd like learn sign, hearing problems is hereditary in my family and I'm one of about 8 family members whom have to wear hearing aids. So there is a good chance that I could have a kids/nephew/neice etc who are born without any hearing at all.
