I was very impressed with mills the way he played was very positive, Sol bamba well thats all il say, konchesky was solid and well peltier star performer. He gave us width and stretched there defence allowing Yuki to run there defence raggid. Very well done to the team as a whole... Up te blues'

Up te blues' We all live in hope and some sort of improvement was to be expected. But I wouldn't count chickens just yet. I saw how well CMS lost our defenders on occasions yesterday - even with Bamba playing brilliantly - and forwards won't always miss. But even if we halve the number of goals we've been conceding it might make a big difference in the end, especially with our now much-increased goals potential. I also believe that, with a few more good results the strength of our attack will cause the opposition to devote more resources to defence and that, it itself, will ease the pressure on our back line. With Beckford/Nugent/Schlupp as our strikers and King/Vassell/Dyer in support, I can't imagine many teams taking liberties - or keeping a clean sheet against us.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 We've a long way to go yet... it's still a fact that we've conceded 9 in the first 7 games of the season... Work has to be done in all departments but at least this was a good start towards a tighter and more organised unit.
ithuriel Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 It helped that the midfield covered for our left/right backs. the team actually defended as a unit yesterday. here is hoping they have actually clicked and it was not a one off and luck in regards to team selection.
