davieG Posted 29 September 2011 Posted 29 September 2011 Is there a site that provides info on how much teams have cost to be assembled. There seems to be plenty of talk about us being big spenders compared to other teams but no thought seems to be given to how much teams have spent prior to this season building their teams. Listening to the game last night Stringer mentioned several Boro players costing £2-3 million I'de be interested to know how much they and other teams have cost to build.
joelmurray Posted 29 September 2011 Posted 29 September 2011 Indeed, Middlesborough a couple of seasons ago spent a lot to get back up to the Premier League (were favourites for promotion) but didn't manage it. Possibly the two seasons playing together and fine tuning the squad has allowed them to get such a start as they have done this season. Can't wait til the 'big-spending' pre-fix is dropped; has caused a great deal of expectation on us causing us to maybe buckle under it a few times (Reading) and other teams to up their game and try to take a scalp (Barnsley).

davieG Posted 29 September 2011 Author Posted 29 September 2011 try http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ transfer values provided on the team pages Thanks for the link although not really what I want as it's someone's view on their value not what they cost e.g Schmeichal £875,000 Weale £1.100,000 Mills £2.200,000 Konchesky £2.200,000 Moreno £1.400,000
bluesbrothers Posted 29 September 2011 Posted 29 September 2011 We really got Kasper for less than Weale? Wow.
Fox92 Posted 29 September 2011 Posted 29 September 2011 We really got Kasper for less than Weale? Wow. Weale was free, wasn't he?
