Haydos Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Regarding the posters that slated Mills, he was in all fairness pretty bloody awful the first few games he played for City, & I'm sure the even he would admit he didn't play anywhere near his best. When we signed him, I was chuffed 'cos he had looked so good playing for Reading, but I was worried early doors as he didn't play at all well, & credit to Sven he had the bottle to drop him. But thankfully he is now showing his true worth & building a good understanding with Sol,Sol,Bamba! The thing is some people aren't so stupid and give players a fair amount of games before making a decision, not instantly judging them after 90 minutes. People who do that might as well not have an opinion as far as I'm concerned. The same thing goes for his recent performances, he's gone a long way towards rectifying the poor start but personally I'll probably give him a season before I completely make my mind up. Admittedly it does look promising though
deanolegend1989 Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 I agree with the fact that people seem to not think peltier played well. I think he looks a brilliant young fullback and wins alot in the air. How tall is peltier by the way? anyone know? He seems to be very solid in the air
Guest MattP Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 I think we need to be ruthless, not sentimental. Reward form, yes, but where you have an asset like Beckford I think we should expect goals from then he has to be given game time. Goal aside, I don't think Vas was a stand-out player yesterday and I feel, for the most part, his end product is frustrating more than it's lethal. Totally agree with this. You have to forget previous games, you put your best eleven out regardless, if Beckford is considered to be in our best starting line up, he plays. I've lost count of the times over the years we have "refused to change a winning team" and came out next time and played like sh*t.
