We've stuck to the four at the back now they've started getting clean sheets, can we please now stick to that midfield unit? Absolutely brilliant today. Kasper: 7 - Solid, not much to do. Some shakey distribution but confident. Peltier: 6.5 - Not his best game for us but Derby never really threatened. Mills: 7.5 - Solid, professional, tidy against a poor side who offered little. Bamba: 7.5 - As above. Rock. Konchesky: 7 - Slowly growing into a Leicester shirt after a few poor showings, looked strong today. Fernandes: 9 - Just everywhere today, rare few sloppy touches outshone by constant running, contributions to goals, some tidy passing and a constant menace. MOTM. Abe: 8 - Solid, played an anchor well to allow Fernandes and King to push on. Kept it simple as ever, few nice touches. Danns: 8 - Massive difference having Danns in for Wellens, key change for me today. Wellens was tidy enough last year but this year he's been slowing the ball down massively, Danns did the opposite and we profited. Hope he starts again. King: 9 - Best game I've seen him play this season, almost gained a yard of pace, took people on, won the ball and used it well when he had it. Vassell: 7.5 - Reasonable enough, right place for his goal, missed a sitter mind before he scored. Nugent: 8 - Class act. Amidst all the talk about Maynard and Beckford and which "20 goal a season striker" we'd sign, I always felt Nugent was being sorely overlooked. Took his goal well today and oozed confidence and class. Special mention to Schlupp! Took his goal very, very well. Sven got almost everything right today. Please, please, please stick to this midfield. Only change I'd make from that starting 11 would be to bring in Beckford for Vassell.

Abe 8 A little destroyer today Danns 8 Great energy again Nugent 9 Lovely finish, v unlucky not to get 2 Vassell 8 Nice to see him get a goal, well deserved Schlupp 7 nice finish Howard 8 Won the corner & won the header for the 4th Dyer 7 Keeper should have saved his shot, but was there for the chance Team 10 wonderful display, but Derby allowed us the time & space to play!

maynefox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Kasper: 8 (didnt had to make outstanding saves, but he was brave and commanded the defence well) Peltier: 8 (solid performance, he's one of my best players ATM, keep em coming ) Mills: 9 (very very solid, didnt but a foot wrong.....although he did hoof it alot.....but its Mills ) Bamba: 8 (more a less the same as Mills, but I thought Mills was excellent today) Konchesky: 8 (didnt really put a foot wrong.............neither did any of the back 5 tbh!) Fernandes: 7 (he had a good game, not as good as the other midfielder's though) King: 8 (didnt have his ghost games, looked sharpish.....got stuck in as well!) Abe: 8 (been happy with his performances lately, a good solid DM) Danns: 9 (looked dangerous, worked back and defended really well) MOTM Nugent: 8 (sharp and get his confidence going he'll be banging in the goals, no doubt. unlucky for his "2nd" goal, you could see the linesman's point, correct but harsh) Vassell: 7 (good poachers goal, and he worked hard) Dyer: 7 (lucky goal in all honestly) Schlupp: 7 (good to see him get his first ever league goal for us!) Howard: 7 (good assist)
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Schmeichel - 8 - Not troubled much by the sheep's attack but did what he had to do well Peltier - 7.5 - Quieter than in previous games but still a good performance Mills - 9.5 - Much much better, starting to look like he might just be worth what we paid Bamba - 8.5 - To have two centre-backs so comfortable as him and Mills were is very nice Konchesky - 8 - Got himself forward and supported the attack, and defended well as well Abe - 8 - Harried about as usual, didn't give their team a moment of peace. Fernandes - 7.5 - Good game but greatly over shadowed by the rest of the midfield Danns - 8.5 - What an engine this boy has got! Chased well, good attacking and unlucky not to score for the Vassell goal King - 8.5 - Getting better, still a key player for the team Vassell - 8.5 - Chased and chased - could have had 1 early on but the goal was well deserved Nugent - 10 - Great performance - possibly hard done by with the second disallowed goal. Subs: Schlupp - 8 - great to see the boy get his first league goal Dyer - 8 - threatened well and a good (if very fortunate) goal Howard - 9.5 - Absolutely destroyed their defence after coming on, brilliant performance.
One Arm Babba Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Kasper: 7 - Didn't have to make a save, kept his concentration well Peltier: 7- Nothing to do really Mills: 7 - good defensively, a few too many hoofs Bamba: 8 - Good game again, I can see Bamba certainly being in the Championship team of the season Konchesky: 7.5 - Arguably his best game for us Fernandes: 8.5 - The engine of the midfield. Never stopped running and some great touches Abe: 8.5 - I love watching Abe play, he makes football so simple. Coolness in spades Danns: 8 - Did well, was eager to impress and surely did. He faded towards the end of his time on the pitch but put a real shift in so not surprising. King: 9 - Best game I've seen him play this season, flashes of his brilliance today. (with King as the tip in the diamond we have a serious attacking threat) Vassell: 7.5 - Decent game from Vassell. Glad he got his goal. He will score when played up top. Nugent: 8 - Nugent is immense for us. He looks to be enjoying playing in a Leicester shirt. Once 100% he is going to be on fire SUBS - all an 8 for me. even if they were only on for 10 minutes or so Each one contributed and the big man nearly gets a 9 for stream rollering their defence before pumping up the crowd.

He did well, he looked interested for the first time in forever and he won us the corner that got Schlupp's goal. No doubt. But 9.5, brilliant performance?!

Bamba: 6.5 - Thought he looked shaky a couple of times, and needless challenges earnt him that yellow. Konchesky: 7 - Better. Fernandes: 8 - Quality pass for the first. Abe: 8 - The reason why Danns, King and Fernandes looked so good. Always in space, simple, quick passing play. Danns: 8 - Took on his man well, was direct and kept the tempo up. King: 9 - Eh up!? Noticed him today a lot, good game sir. Vassell: 7.5 - Very good movement. Would still drop him for Beckford. Nugent: 8 - He was injured?! Subs: Howard - 7 Dyer - 6.5 Schlupp - 11.

Bamba 8 - Excellent. Konchesky 8 - Good, and in my opnion, getting better. Fernandes 8 - Looked better today. King 8 - Fantastic! Won a lot of headers in midfield and made some great runs with and without the ball. Abe 9 - Our holding man. People who say he isn't good enough are wrong. He was excellent just sitting today. Mopped everything up. Danns 8 - Adds great energy and unlucky not to score. Nugent 9 - So glad he's back! Fantastic. Chased the balls, made the runs and scored with an excellent finish. Vassell 8 - So glad he scored. Has his doubters, but I personally rate him and think he is great. Didn't put a foot wrong again and chased again. ** So glad Howard got the chance and took it well. I've been wanting him on the bench for ages. Obviously been working hard and made a great assist for Dyer. Also, pleased for Schlupp as I wanted him to score his first league goal.

Bamba: 8 - very good today Konchesky: 8 - his best game for us Fernandes: 8. - Covered a lot of ground Abe: 8.5 - moped up so well today Danns: 8 put everthing into todays game and did very well King: 8- Best game I've seen him play this season. Vassell: 7.5 - a decent game and got a goal Nugent: 9 - played very well and I think theres more to come yet ! SUBS - 7.5 and an 8 for stevie howard. ! kingfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Schmeichel 6 - Nothing much to do again, defence did the work Peltier 8 - Him in the back for makes a difference solid performance again Mills 9 - Absolute quality played everything right today Bamba 7 - Not convinced seemed shaky at times but did well Konchesky 8 - Mr consistent performs again, one of Sven's best signings Fernandes 8 - Loves to run his linking up with Yuki was top draw Abe 8 - Excellent like Fernandes, their combo first half was amazing Danns 7 - Great energy but couldn't see a real attacking threat good defending though King 7 - When on the ball he looked class, but faded in and out too much in my opinion Vassell 8 - Get's better every week and got his deserved goal Nugent 9 - With Mills man of the match by far, what a display Dyer 8 - Great cameo Schlupp 7 - Goal but not as good as Dyer and Howard Howard 9 - Best cameo I have ever seen in my life
Thracian Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I don't offten do this but the whole lot can have 10 and that includes the substitutes Dyer, Howard and Schlupp. It was super to see us so positive and there were real contributions from everyone. People might say Kasper had very little to do but the thing about Kasper is his flawless concentration and enthusiasm. He is such a foundation stone for confidence. Kasper, Mills, King, Bamba, how many players might have edged Mom? I don't care. It was the team effort that impressed me. We were vibrant today and showed exactly why we really don't need to be inhibited by anyone. Such shots as Derby produced Kasper handled flawlessly. His distribution was varied and imaginative and the brilliant relationship he's developed with his team-mates was perfectly emphasised when he clearly called for Kingy to leave the ball in a busy situation and the midfielder trusted him completely and let the ball run. You'd never have guessed Derby were near the top of the table because they didn't dominate in any position. Everyone supported everyone else. Loved it. Oh yes, and Sven can have a 10 too. I like 4-0's going on 5-0. I'd like to see some more.
