acooling08 Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Tanners a moron, always has been. Lost any respect for him when he tried to convince us all Bruno Oliveira taught Mourinho everything he knows. No wonder the Merc's circ is at an all time low. If you're blaming Tanner for low paper circulation then you really are a moron. He's just a standard journalist. Besides, all local papers across Britain are dying out. Paper sales in general are dying out slowly. Why buy the Mercury when you can read everything on thisisleicestershire.co.uk?
Topman Posted 4 October 2011 Author Posted 4 October 2011 Calling somebody an anchored midfielder isnt a negative comment, i think you've got completely the wrong end of the stick "A Midfield Anchor is a Center Midfielder playing behind the striker, and at the same time control the centre of the park. A midfield anchor will setup important play from the center" If you have yesterday paper you will see everyone has a positive comment next to their name apart from Abe, all it said was "anchored the midfield diamond" never a positive fed back for him, could of said anchored the midfield " well or superbly"
MrSpaM Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Saying Abe "anchored the midfield diamond" is a positive comment, it means he did his job properly
Criggers Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 I was in pen 2 when Tony James scored at the end of the day grown men cried. Don't fvcking tell me that list means nothing I was mascot. I had no idea what it meant back then
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Never fully understand City fans who defend Mandaric. He turned us into a laughing stock with a despotic, guillotine approach to managerial recruitment and therefore shares a more than sizable portion of the blame for making us the worse we've ever been in our history and helping to take away from us our only half decent response to Derby and Forest fans boasting their bygone glories. He saved us from dissapearing from existence? No he didn't - a shedload of people with LCFC in the hearts did that. He brought the club in 2007 - we went into admin in 2002. We were nothing more than a game or a project to him. As for the old he did a wonderful job of passing the club on - do you really think he gave a toss? Look at Pompey. It's pot luck. Breathe.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 ...that rant isn't directed personally at any contributors to this thread or forum in general. People are entirely entitled to their opinions and I won't judge them for it. It can also be levelled at me that I don't know what happened behind the scenes in Mandaric's era. There's also an e in sizeable. Now breathe.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Oh Ffs, Milan took us to our lowest point in 125 years of history. Whatever happens now he can't repair that. Whatever you think about top (and I'll judge that in ten years rather than ten months) Mandaric would of sold to anyone, we were nothing more than a hooker to him, he was a pimp and he wanted a price. Tanners bumming of Sousa was designed to distract all attention from the shambolic removal of Pearson. Maybe, but without him we might not now exist. It was his money that saved this club.
kyle09uk Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Am with you on this one that list will only ever get shorter. And as much as i would thank MM for what he has done for us being removed from that list was his fault. You can't ship that amount of managers in/out and get away with it. So again i thank MM for our future but he fvcked up our past. I was in pen 2 when Tony James scored at the end of the day grown men cried. Don't fvcking tell me that list means nothing Don't worry about it, it was all part of MM plan he knew we needed some momentum so thought It was for the best to drop a league, heard from The grapevine. Anyway on a serious note it may Well have fooked are past up but it did us no harm in the longer run (fingers crossed). Before Manderic we had fake hope... Atleast we could Actually afford to buy a player compared to the Time we couldn't even afford gudjohnson!
Guest MattP Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Maybe, but without him we might not now exist. It was his money that saved this club. Except it actually wasn't. The real people who saved the club were the shareholders that accepted his derisory offer.

Does every club have to be bankrolled by a millioniare now? Think you have been watching too much Sky Sports. I wasn't against Mandaric's offer, he can do what he wants, like you say, he is a businessman and LCFC was a another cheap tart he could pick up, dismantle and sell for a decent earner. I hope the fair play rules are implemented and adhered to as quick as possible, I've never been part of the "Fcuk everyone else if we are ok" club.
