Dan Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Fair enough mate.. I'm with you on not going out to spend lots more money. Yes we need to make the current crop work.. Which I think is now happening Which is exactly why we don't need Johnson. We've got an excellent goalkeeper with back-up who is often letting us down but he's proven in the past he's not actually that bad. A very good right back in Peltier with cover from Pantsil who's probably better than most of this league's first choice right backs, same on the left, Konchesky/Ball is a hard two to match/better. Mills & Bamba are looking superb, St Ledger may not have been that good but a lot of teams would kill for COVER like him, add to that Tunchev who is out on loan. An extremely strong midfield, Wellens, Abe, King, Fernandes, Johnson and Danns, again, not many sides can even come near that in this league, no real strength on the wings but I think Dyer/Gallagher won't play often anyway due to this system working, five centre forwards who all offer something different, Beckford the goalscorer (he WILL find his feet), Vassell who's not a bad player, Nugent who is all-round excellent so far, Howard who is a scare for any centre half with his aerial presence and one of the best young forwards in this league in Schlupp. I think injuries aside, there's absolutely nothing we need to add.
