CountesthorpeFox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Hamann resigns http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15620388.stm Dietmar Hamann has resigned as Stockport manager after just four months in charge of the struggling Blue Square Bet Premier club. More to follow. (I am not suggesting he is coming here)
absolutelegend Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 (I am not suggesting he is coming here) so why mention it?
Petchy Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 so why mention it? Maybe because it's happened? And thus why it's in general football and sport just like all the other stories.
Kilworthfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Hamann said that he went there because a takeover was going to happen, it never happened so he resigned.
jdean Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Now that Didi Hamann has resigned from Stockport due to a takeover that never happened. I am thinking is there any coincidence in this? Could he be coming back to the club? Could he be Nigel Pearson's assistant manager. I think he would be good to get back to the club lots of experience and he could be the high profile name which could attract players to the team.
Petchy Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77768 Don't think so mate, he just didn't have his promises fulfilled.

Fox92 Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Highly doubt it. He has just been on Sky Sports News, and he said: "The only reason I left Leicester City is because I wanted to become a manager; become my own man. I have left Stockport and don't want to turn back to coaching".
stockyfox Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Didi Hamann made a statement following a meeting yesterday morning (Monday) with Lord Snape, Chairman of Stockport County. He said that he had been introduced to the Club by Tony Evans and had expected Evans and his consortium to take over the Club. This hadn't happened and the promises he had been given at the outset had not been fulfilled. At the close of the meeting, he tendered his resignation. The meeting was called by Lord Snape after the County had surrendered a two-goal lead on Saturday at home to Hayes. Some fans had been chanting 'Hamann out!'. Living in Stockport, I'm not all that surprised. I don't think for one moment it has anything to do with LCFC. It is pure coincidence.
TheLabMan Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 I believe he left to take over as Hull City's new boss!
