never really got into NFL, tried but don't understand what it's all about - don't know the rules for a start. one of these days i'll have a go at watching it, but it does seem a bit stop - start.

must be something in it due to the support it gets in the states, but they are american after all!!!

is it correct that apart from the college teams it's only played as a professional game over there?

Americans watch Nascar so they obviously have a tolerance for dull sports.

There is a professional league in Canada and there was one in Europe but generally the NFL is the only really high standard professional league.

Anyone see Jerome Simpson from the OP's video making an amazing catch at the weekend while pretty much walking on air? Guy is amazing!

You know you have pads on and you just go for it whereas with rugby it's definitely more technique. As for physical contact I've seen more ambulances in one American football game (me included) than 7 rugby games

Yep, ambulances and concussions are definately the best way to judge a sport

Oh dear.

I think the point is that despite the pads it is still a more dangerous sport, not that injuries are entertaining.

It is disgraceful how many former NFL players have died young due to injuries sustained during their careers. Finally the NFL are starting to clean the game up a bit with protection to QB’s and banning helmet to helmet contact but it still happens regularly. Repeated head injuries and concussions are extremely dangerous in the long run and can be fatal.

Saw this, the guy is a freakish athlete, it actually looked like he walked over the guy.

For all those interested...

Ah right, fair enough, I just read it in the wrong context then. I read it that he was saying American Football is better because theres more ambulances etc lol. Nevermind.

At the end of the day, the somersault was quality, thats one hell of a leap!

American football = throwing the ball forward to go forward... Rugby = throwing the ball back to go forward surely the rules were made by someone who had taken too many knocks to the head

Cheers, looked everywhere for that in my post but couldn't find it. Pity Dalton choked in the playoffs, I quite like the Bengals this season.
