Yep lol

Remember at the end of that game everyone spilling into the roof of the Ipswich stand behind the goal to celebrate :D

Like others have said I'd kill to have that support back now rather than 8,000 offended pansies who think the Poznan is he greatest thing going.

the poznan is a joke and truelly embarrising (bit like my spelling before someone else says it). Will will never get back what we had im affraid especially as i was told one day evryone took their shoes off, waved them around and sang 'take your shoes off if you love leicester'. please say that isnt true. I didnt even bother going forest as i knew it would be bad, i saw someone on twitter trying to organise an '8000 strong poznan' when the team walked out. That might be for them but for me i'd rather not bother. It would take a very good match with most of the older lads all saying they were on it for me to go again im affraid

another one, who remembers Sunderland away for the semi, another quality night

I doubt the poznan is the problem with our away days.

In fact if you just 'can't be arsed' because no ones spilling onto the pitch or into the home end I'd say you're part of the problem.

Anyway, the atmosphere at Forest was pretty good I thought, where I was anyway. Not amazing, but what do you expect when we didn't score and put in a first half performance like we did? Had we have scored I predict it would have been different. And I just don't believe that no women and kids went to games like that in the late 90s. I just think things were better for the club back then, more success, more optimism, more reason just to enjoy it as opposed to going to games expecting to be let down.

Why does every thread about past games have to end up with everyone slating our support nowadays?

i feel sorry for the young ones on here that missed that day and the atmosphere etc. not a chance that sort of thing will ever be experienced again. everyone steaming, getting on the pitch etc etc. can anyone remember the steward down the front that got loads of abuse and lost it big time and had to be drag away lol

Feel sorry for 'the Young Ones'?

I doubt Rick, Neil, Mike and Vivien were too bothered about watching football....

lol

where did i say anything about going in the home ends?

the support nowadays is crap compared to what it was, that is a fact. if you werent about back then or experienced it you can't really comment. to be fair, the support lost its edge when we moved from filbert street and other teams moved into soulless bowls as well

We had a better atmosphere when David Pleat was manager and the football was like watching paint dry.

We won fvck all and did'nt have a pot to piss in yet we partied and sang and we never bitched about what other fans called us.

We as a club have more to sing about now than ever we did in the 70's and 80's yet we don't

Roy Kean is a nob imo but the prawn sarrnie comment was so true.

The KP is 75% full of stuck up muppetts that go cos it's the thing to do.

So many on here say players need to have and show passsshuuuuuun else they are not our type of player.

Shame we cant sell most of our fans in this window too for showing no Passsshuuuun.

It's not that Kit.

Best way I can describe it when you went away 10+ years ago when you came back to everyone else in the boozer everyone knew you would have a good story to tell about the day and you wanted to tell it.

When you think back to all those days there always was one, the city fan who unlocked the gates at Orient and let 2,000 in for free, the Peterboro streakers, the roof celebration at Ipswich, the Barnsley pitch invasion, the Derby game that ended up in a big fight in Woodgate, the Mike Whitlow United trip, the McGhee Wolves trip, the fan who fell from the top tier at the Dell, the Derek Pavis "your a disgrace" speech at Notts County, the Stoke play off where we all thought we were going to get killed, the Pompey play off where we all did get killed, Rooster's goal at Blackburn/Middlesborough. Izzet's goal at Watford....

Mention any of these stories instantly to anyone who was there and they remember it, despite what we try and say it just isnt like that anymore. You knew the day was going to fantastic back then and you were coming back with a special memory. Now we come back and go on twitter to the police to moan about a song.

Great to see how a section of palace fans have transformed the atmosphere at home games, I can only think of celtic who have done the same, very rare thesedays to hear the home support outsing the away fans.

Whether you like the ultra scene or not you cant help but be impressed by what they have done at palace.

Celtic Park is quiet as a mouse these days, unless they are playing Rangers there are 12-15,000 seats empty every week,

I agree on Palace though, the fanatics corner they have is absolutely fantastic, shows what happens when a club actually allows its fans to do something productive as well.

Always sounds good on tv to me, its irrelevant how many empty seats there are, the GB are always in good voice, if they were packed into a small stadium like palace's they would be as loud (probably louder) but celtic have transformed their away support too.

As for palace allowing their fans to do something productive thats up for debate, they have a huge amount of problems for a long time but they stuck with it and now they have some freedom but they had to fight for it, something fans arent really ineterested in doing.
